Shockley Turns Straight to Double

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was multi way on the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board. Action checked to the cutoff who bet 3,000. All three players called including Tyler Shockley in the big blind and Chris Turnbull in early position.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and action checked to Turnbull who bet 11,000. The cutoff called before Shockley moved all in for 28,300. Under the gun quickly folded and Turnbull moved all in over the top. The cutoff folded.

Tyler Shockley: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Chris Turnbull: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Turnbull had flopped a set and been outdrawn on the turn as Shockley hit his gutshot. The river was the {8-Spades} which gave Shockley the double.

Turnbull raged and muttered to himself "Every fucking time you flop a set in the World Series......" as Shockley stacked his chips.
