Brewer Mucks Against Smith

Level 9 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With around 210,000 in the middle, the board read {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Dan Smith opted to check in the big blind for Chris Brewer to do the same from the middle position. Smith showed the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair, aces and fives. Brewer sat there in silence, shook his head a few times, looked at his own cards, and flicked the cards into the muck.

Shortly after, he lost the remainder of his chips.

Hecklen Scores Double Knockout

Level 9 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Henrik Hecklen
Henrik Hecklen

Seth Davies opened to 27,000 from the cutoff and Ben Heath moved all in out of the small blind. Henrik Hecklen in the big blind then raised enough to force Davies all in. After tanking for some time, Davies made the call for his tournament life.

Ben Heath: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Seth Davies: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Henrik Hecklen: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Each player had a decent shot of winning the pot but it was Hecklen who came out on top courtesy of a {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts} runout, sending his two opponents packing.

Fei Keeps Chipping Up

Level 9 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Francisco Benitez opened to 24,000 from early position and received a single call from Wesley Fei out of the big blind.

Fei checked to the preflop raiser on the {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop and then called when Benitez continued for 40,000. Wesley, undeterred, made the call.

Both players checked through the {k-Clubs} turn to the {2-Diamonds} river where they each again checked. Fei showed down {j-Spades}{5-Spades} which was sufficient to take down the pot. "No way you can bluff me!" exclaimed Fei as he continued to build a big stack.

Ben Heath: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Chris Hunichen: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} for Heath to river the full house to double up with.

Rabichow's Rivered Pair of Deuces Can't Keep Him Alive

Level 9 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Kevin Rabichow
Kevin Rabichow

A bet of 12,000 was put in on the {j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and called in a heads-up pot between Kevin Rabichow in the big blind and Joao Vieira in the under-the-gun position.

They both checked through the {q-Diamonds} on the turn to the {2-Spades} on the river. Rabichow shoved for just over 60,000 and Vieira snap-called. Rabichow tabled the {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the pair of deuces but Vieira held the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for two pair.

Benitez Flips Schulman To The Rail

Level 8 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Nick Schulman opened to 20,000 from under the gun and was three-bet to 60,000 by Francisco Benitez in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Schulman, who moved all in. Benitez snap called with the bigger stack to put Schulman at risk.

Nick Schulman: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Francisco Benitez: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Schulman was flipping for his tournament life and stayed ahead on the {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop. The {k-Diamonds} turn was a dagger to his chances of survival, however, as he was left drawing to just two outs going to the river. No miracle was forthcoming on the river, with the {4-Hearts} sealing Schulman's fate.
