Tang Gets Paid

Level 7 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

David Peters opened to 19,000 on the button and Stanley Tang defended out of the big blind after having just reentered.

Action checked through the {q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop to the {8-Spades} turn where Tang led out for 40,000. Peters, as yet unconvinced, called.

Tang did not slow down on the {4-Diamonds} river, firing off 100,000. Peters took his time making a decision but ultimately tossed in calling chips only to be shown {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} by his opponent for the absolute nuts.

Katz Shoves on Negreanu to Get Some Chips Back

Level 7 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The flop read {4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} with almost 40,000 in the middle.

Cary Katz was sitting in the early position with his whole stack of 161,000 over the line while Daniel Negreanu had a bet of 36,000 in front of him in the cutoff. Negreanu considered it for a while but opted to fold.

Fei Folds to Bedell

Level 7 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The board read {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} with some chips in the middle already.

Tom-Aksel Bedell had fired a bet of 104,000 out from the middle position and this had sent Wesley Fei in the tank on the button. He had to use a time bank before opting to fold.

Bedell claimed to have had quad kings.

Negreanu Busts Bonomo

Level 7 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

In a blind on blind confrontation, Daniel Negreanu in the small blind and Justin Bonomo in the big blind got their two short stacks into the middle, with Bonomo being the at risk player.

Justin Bonomo: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Daniel Negreanu: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Bonomo was a marginal favourite but Negreanu picked up an open ender on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop. He immediately hit that draw on the {9-Diamonds} turn to vault into the lead, though Bonomo could still survive with a river diamond. It did not come in, however, with the board bricking out {3-Spades} to send the all time money leader to the rail.

Rheem Runs Into Fei's Aces

Level 6 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem was all-in from the cutoff for around 200,000 and Wesley Fei had him covered from the button.

Chino Rheem: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Wesley Fei: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} to keep Fei ahead.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} for Fei to comment: "Drawing dead."

The river completed the board with the {j-Clubs} to seal the deal.

"Okay, bye bye..." Fei added while happily adding Rheem's chips to his own stack while the rest of the field had already gone for their break.
