The first day of Event #86: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship has concluded after ten hours of high-quality poker action at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. Some 349 players bought in and only 136 made it through to Day 2.
For the majority of the day, four-time WSOP bracelet winner Adrian Mateos was seen atop of the chip counts and ended with 287,500. Frontrunning the pack is Barry Woods, who ended the day as chip leader with an even 400,000.
David Jackson (326,000) and Ben Heath (311,000) are also well positioned for Day 2, with Pierre Calamusa (333,500), Alexandre Reard (282,000), Jared Jaffee (201,000), Brian Rast (131,500), Kristen Foxen (131,000), Erik Seidel (935,000), Scott Seiver (73,000), Chance Kornuth (59,500), and defending champ Ben Yu (42,000) are also returning tomorrow.

Chance Kornuth raised preflop to 5,000 on the button, but then Nadil Cardoso moved all in for 68,500 from the small blind. The rest of the players got out of the way and it was left up to Kornuth. After about 30 seconds in the tank, he made the call, which put Cardoso at risk.

On a four-way turn of , after action had checked around, the button bet 12,000 but then was check-raised by Pierre Calamusa in the small blind to 30,000.
The button called and they saw the river . Calamusa then led out for a big bet of 65,000 and sent the button into the tank.
After a good while, the button slammed his chips in the middle for a call. Calamusa then turned over for one pair, queens.
The button checked his hand one more time before he shook his head and threw them into the muck.
