Daniels Loses a Four-Bet Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Jake Daniels raised it up from under the gun and the big blind stuck in a three-bet. Daniels responded with a four-bet and the big blind called. With a little over 30,000 in the middle already, the dealer fanned the flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

The big blind checked to Daniels who put in a bet of 15,200. The big blind check-shoved all in for 43,600 and Daniels asked for a count. After thinking for over three minutes, Daniels finally dumped his cards into the muck and took a big hit to his stack.

Barbero Rivers the Nuts and Bets Big

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Igor Kurganov raised to 1,500 on the button and Nacho Barbero defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {4-Clubs} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river.

Barbero led out with a large bet of 6,600 and Kurganov looked him up. Barbero whipped over {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the nut straight and Kurganov conceded.

"That's why you bet so big," Kurganov nodded in approval after the hand.

Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Vanessa Kade opened to 1,500 on the button and Mike Matusow three-bet to 4,900 in the big blind. Kade called and they went heads-up to a flop of {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Matusow continued with a bet of 2,900 and Kade called.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Matusow checked this time. Kade fired out a bet of 6,500 and Matusow went into the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call. The river was the {2-Clubs} and both players checked. Matusow tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Kade sent her cards to the muck.

"Old Mikey is back!" Matusow exclaimed as he pumped his fist. "When Mikey thinks about it, he always gets it right."

Heath Flops a Set to Double Up

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

After a couple of preflop raises Ben Heath managed to get all of his 41,600 chips in the middle. He was called by the cutoff and the cards were tabled.

Ben Heath: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

It was a classic flip and the flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} gave Heath a huge lead with a set of queens. It also sent the table into a frenzy as Matthew Wantman noted that he folded pocket sixes and the big blind folded pocket nines.

"Nine," Cliff Josephy was cheering for but the {3-Clubs}, {5-Clubs} runout was clean for Heath as he doubled up.
