"Frank the Tank" Out of Gas

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Frank stepuchin

Richard Bai raised to 3,500 from middle position before Frank Stepuchin pushed his last 37,000 in the middle.

"I like it so far," Stepuchin said as Bai didn't call right away. Bai eventually did call, showing {a-Spades}{q-Spades}, as Stepuchi turned over {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

"Fair, fair, fair," Stepuchin added as the dealer turned over the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop, giving Bai two pair. "Oops," he continued, his tournament life now at risk.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Bai knocked out "Frank the Tank," who wished the table luck before checking his watch to see if he can still make a prior appointment.

Le Takes it Away from Hawkins

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Hieu Le raised on the button to 3,500 and both the small blind and Maurice Hawkins made the call.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} and the small blind checked to Hawkins as he led out for 6,500. Le called and the small blind quickly got out of the way.

The dealer dropped the {3-Clubs} on the turn and Hawkins continued with a bet of 9,000. Le gave it some thought before putting in a raise to 27,000 which was enough for Hawkins to muck his hand.

Schumacher Finds a Fold from Tran

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Johan Schumacher opened for 3,000 and called a three-bet worth 9,500 from Kenny Tran seated on the button.

The flop revealed {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Schumacher checked. Tran continued to bet for 11,000 and Schumacher tanked a minute before making the call.

The {7-Spades} turn brought no betting action and a {10-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Schumacher fired 35,000 and Tran thought about it for a minute before folding.

Straight on the River for Noce

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The board read {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} in a three-way pot with around 27,000 in the middle and the first player and so did Andre Noce in the cutoff. The button bet 10,000 and it was called by the initial player. Noce tanked for some time before calling as well.

The {4-Spades} hit the river and it was checked to Noce who fired 25,000. The button folded and the initial player ended up calling but only to muck after Noce revealed {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the straight.

Flush over Flush over Flush for Durante

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Dennis Durante
Dennis Durante

Action was confirmed by the table in this hand, but Opponent 1 raised preflop to 2,500 and got three callers, including Chanracy Khun and Dennis Durante.

Four players went to a flop of {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Opponent 1 continued for 3,500. Khun raised to 9,000 and both Durante and Opponent 1 called. Opponent 2 folded.

With the pot around 40,000, the turn was {2-Spades} and Opponent 1 jammed for 16,500. Khun called the all in and Durante re-jammed for around 66,000. Khun called and all hands were put on their backs, to the entire table's surprise.

Dennis Durante: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Chanracy Khun: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Opponent 1: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

It was flush over flush over flush for Durante. The {k-Clubs} river didn't matter as he skyrockets to over 168,000 just before the dinner break.
