Jaka Shows The Bluff

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Faraz jaka
Faraz jaka

Faraz Jaka opened to 2,500 from middle position and was called by the big blind.

The big blind checked on a flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and then called when Jaka continued for 2,500.

The {a-Spades} turn saw the big blind check for a second time and Jaka, unperturbed by his opponent's call on the flop, fire another bullet, this time sizing up to 7,000. The big blind open folded {9-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Jaka obliged by showing {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. "I wanted to show you a seven," Jaka told his opponent, "but you made me show the bluff. Next time I'll have it I promise," he continued. "If I'm still in," joked the big blind player as Jaka stacked his newfound chips.

Dzivielevski Getting Short

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

David Ivers raised it up to 2,500 in early position and Yuri Dzivielevski called on his left. The rest of the table folded and they went heads-up to a flop of {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Ivers continued with a bet of 2,200 and Dzivielevski stuck around to see the {7-Clubs} on the turn. Ivers tossed in another bet of 6,000 and Dzivielevski quickly sent his cards to the muck.

Jung Puts He to a Tough Decision

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Xing He raised in the hijack to 2,600 and Sunny Jung three-bet the button to 7,000. The blinds quickly folded and He made the call.

On the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board, He check-called a bet of 6,000 from Jung.

The {5-Hearts} fell on the turn and both players checked to the {8-Diamonds} river. He checked once more and Jung fired out 18,200. He looked perplexed as he tanked for about a minute before surrendering the pot.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Hieu Le opened to 2,500 and got called by Maurice Hawkins in the cutoff and Victoria Livschitz in the big blind.

The flop revealed {6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{a-Spades} and it got checked to Le who continued to bet for 3,500. Hawkins quickly raised it to 7,500 and Livschitz let it go but Le called.

Both checked on the {9-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river and Le tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top pair while Hawkins sent his cards into the muck.

Grandmaison Shows Rast a Set

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Adam Grandmaison
Adam Grandmaison

Adam Grandmaison, also known as "Adam22" for his podcast NoJumper, is in the house. He is coming off a 25th place finish in the million-dollar bounty event for $31,000 plus whatever he scored in bounties.

He found himself heads-up with five-time bracelet winner Brian Rast.

Grandmaison overbet to 20,000 into a pot of about 17,000 on the {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades} river and Rast was in the blender.

"I don't know about this one," said Rast.

He flicked in a call and Grandmaison showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} a set of sevens to take the pot. He is sitting on about a quarter million, while Rast is still sitting on a big stack.

Round of Counts in Bally's Blue

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Aggression Pays Off for Robertson

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Joshua Robertson raised to 3,200 and the player on the button called before the small blind re-raised to 14,000. Robertson called, as did the button.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and action checked to Robertson, who tossed out a bet of 8,000. The button quickly folded, but the opponent in the small blind called to see the {5-Clubs} turn.

He checked again and Robertson announced he was all in. His opponent, with around 40,000 behind, tanked for about a minute before mucking as Robertson added more to his massive stack.

Gathy Eliminated by Carroll

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

Michael Gathy was seen standing up from his seat while cards were on their backs.

Gathy had apparently gotten his stack of approximately 25,000 in from the hijack with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} against Casey Carroll's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} in early position. The completed board showed {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades} to give Carroll the best hand on the river, and the Belgian made his exit from the tournament.

Quail Makes Full House to Double

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ryan Quail was seen all in before the flop for his last 59,100 and both hands were tabled.

Ryan Quail: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

It was the classic flip until the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop came, giving Quail a set of queens. The {4-Diamonds} hit the turn sealing the doubling up as the {4-Hearts} completed the board, improving Quail to a full house.
