Bart Hanson
Bart Hanson

Bart Hanson raised to 13,000 from under the gun. A player with a large stack in late position raised to 45,000.

Back on Hanson, he thought for about a minute before announcing all in, about 155,000 total. The three-bettor folded quickly.

"I had the same hand again. I'm probably still supposed to fold it," said Hanson, referencing a previously played hand. "Queens, I had queens," he told the table.

Both players checked through the {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop to the {10-Hearts} turn where Tran led out for 17,000. His opponent was not going anywhere and made the call.

Tran checked on the {j-Clubs} river and then folded when the late position player pushed 37,000 into the middle.

Szerszen Eliminated Close to the Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Keanon Simon flat-called an open raise to 13,000 while in the hijack and Czeslaw Szerszen then jammed on the button for what appeared to be around 40,000. The initial raiser folded and Simon called with the far superior stack.

Czeslaw Szerszen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Keanon Simon: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and the suited ace-king came up short as the field dropped to 1,306 contenders.

Carlson Flops a Set to Bust Kings and Stay Alive

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

After action folded to Kevin Carlson in the hijack, he moved all in for his remaining 29,000, putting himself at risk as the money bubble was quickly approaching. He got one caller, on the button.

Kevin Carlson: {3-Spades}{5-Spades}
Button: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

"Oh three five is winning this," one player at the table commented.

"No offense, but I'm rooting against you," another told the button.

When the {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop hit the table, Carlson and others at the table erupted in celebration, as Carlson had just flopped a straight. The {q-Diamonds} turn and {j-Diamonds} river changed nothing, and Carlson doubled up with the money fast approaching.

Diaz Gets a Double Up From Cimbolas

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

David Diaz raised in the hijack and called a three-bet from Matas Cimbolas in the small blind.

The flop fanned {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Cimbolas bet 35,000. After some thinking, Diaz called and both opted to check on the {7-Diamonds} turn.

The river showed a {10-Diamonds} and Cimbolas checked. Diaz decided to bet 60,000 and Cimbolas tanked a few minutes before announcing all in, putting Diaz at risk for a remaining stack of 258,000.

Diaz snap-called and Cimbolas tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}, which wasn't good enough as Diaz held {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a set on the river to double up.

Liyanage Doubles on the Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There were four all-ins and calls in the first hand on the money bubble four away from the money and three double ups came out of it. One of them included [Removed:426], who bet the {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} turn for 75,000 out of the big blind. He then faced the jam by Takahito Koshiba in the cutoff for 461,000 and tanked for nearly three minutes before he called.

Koshiba tabled the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the nut straight while Liyanage was at risk for 292,000 with the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Once the {10-Hearts} river paired the board, Liyanage burst out in frantic celebration and screamed his joy right into the TV cameras before stacking up the chips.
