Pirani Gets Shove Through

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Yonatan Koko opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and Thiago Pirani moved all in for 275,000 on the button. The blinds got out of the way to send action back to Koko, who went into the tank. After a few minutes another player at the table called the clock on Koko. A floorman came over to give Koko a 30 second countdown. With just five seconds remaining Koko released his hand to ensure Pirani would not be put at risk this hand.

William Nunley then check-raised to 1,870,000 from early position with {a-Spades}{8-Spades}, which put Desimoni all-in.

Ali Imsirovic raised to 60,000 from the hijack and got three callers.

The board {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} was checked around and Shijia Liu checked the {2-Hearts} turn. Imsirovic put out a delayed continuation bet of 75,000 and was called by Austin Apicella and Liu.

The river was the {10-Hearts}. Liu checked again and Imsirovic bet 325,000. Apicella folded and Liu tank-called as the players went on break.

Imsirovic instantly threw his hand into the muck, rendering it irretrievable, and Liu took down the pot.

Pirani Doubles Through Weis

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Picking up the action on the river, Thiago Pirani from late position was involved in a hand with Oliver Weis in the cutoff. With the board reading {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} Pirani checked and Weis moved all in. Pirani went deep into the tank, to the point where another player called the clock on him. The floorman had barely begun a countdown when Pirani called off for his tournament life.

Weis turned over {8-Spades}{7-Spades} while Pirani revealed he held {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} for two pair, good enough for the double up. Upon finding out he had won the pot, Pirani set off running to the rail while emitting loud cries of jubilation.
