Bittar Wins Massive Raising War and Shows

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

On a {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board with roughly 1,000,000 in the pot, Kamal Bittar checked the big blind, and Jorge Hou bet 855,000 in early position. Bittar then check-raised to 2,075,000 to send his opponent into the tank. After some time, Hou raised to 5,150,000, only for Bittar to raise yet again, covering Hou's stack of approximately 3,500,000 behind. Hou again went into the tank and ultimately, laid down his hand.

Bittar leapt up from his seat and slammed down {7-Spades}{5-Hearts} onto the felt as he walked away from the table while talking to himself, clearly energized from the huge hand which rocketed him into the chip lead.

Madan Applies Pressure

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

William Smith opened to 225,000 from the cutoff only to see Mayank Madan three-bet to 580,000 on the button. The blinds got out of the way to send the action back to Smith who, after some consideration, made the call to send the two players heads-up to the flop.

Smith checked to the three-bettor on a monotone flop of {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Madan continued for 350,000. Not yet prepared to resign the pot, Smith flatted

On the {9-Diamonds} turn Smith checked for a second time. Madan was in no mood to slow down and continued his aggression with a hefty bet of 2,000,000. Smith did not appear happy but eventually made a reluctant fold to take a minor hit to his stack.

Kim Finds a Fold

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Marco Johnson raised to 225,000 with {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Brian Kim called with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} from the button. The flop was {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn was {9-Diamonds} and Johnson bet 250,000. Kim called and the river was the troublesome {9-Clubs}.

Johnson counted out 1,250,000 and put it in the middle. Kim went into the tank for several moments before he finally got away from it and gave Johnson the pot.

Madan Out-Flops Neiman

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Philip Neiman bet 1,300,000 and Mayank Madan shoved all in from under the gun.

"Here we go," Neiman said as he committed his last chips, turning over {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Madan, though, showed him {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for flopped two pair.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Neiman stood by his seat taking a picture of his bustout board before heading for the exit.

Rosa Flops Two Pair to Double Up

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Mikiya Kudo raised to 200,000 on the button and Jonathan Rosa ripped all in for 1,715,000 in the big blind. Kudo asked for a count and then eventually called to put Rosa at risk.

Jonathan Rosa: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Mikiya Kudo: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Rosa took a stranglehold on the hand with two pair. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn left Kudo drawing dead to the {4-Hearts} on the river as he sent over a double-up.

Sabat Doubles Through Gostisa

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Earlier on, Eddy Sabat had seen his kings cracked by ace-jack and would now try to achieve the same feat when he open-shoved for 970,000 from an early position and was called by Rok Gostisa in the small blind.

Eddy Sabat: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Rok Gostisa: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop gave Sabat more outs and he indeed improved on the {j-Diamonds} turn and the {a-Diamonds} river to make jacks full of aces.

Levy Finds an Ace on the Turn and Gets Paid

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Tzur Levy opened to 215,000 from under the gun and Rudy Cervantes three-bet to 600,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Levy called to see a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Levy checked to Cervantes who continued with a bet of 550,000 and Levy called. The turn brought the {a-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {8-Spades} on the river. Levy led out with a bet of 1,700,000 this time and Cervantes snap-called.

Levy flipped over {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for top pair top kicker and Cervantes had to muck his cards.

Chan Felted by Jung

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In a preflop all-in contest between two of the shorter stacks in the field, it was Edmund Chan at risk against Seungmook Jung and the following cards were revealed.

Edmund Chan: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Seungmook Jung: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop kept Chan with some back door outs and he asked for a "spade for a sweat". That wish was denied but he picked up chop outs with the {4-Hearts} turn. However, the {j-Spades} river was a blank and that spelled the end for Chan.

Brian Kim raised to 205,000 from middle position and Michael Rocco three-bet shoved for 785,000. Andrew Ostapchenko shoved his own stack of around 3,100,000 and Brian Kim called. Action was three ways and both Ostapchenko and Rocco were at risk.

Michael Rocco: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Andrew Ostapchenko: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Brian Kim: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Kim made aces and eights to score the double knockout and send Rocco and Ostapchenko to the rail.
