Varnado Sends Al-Shanti to the Rail

Level 22 : Blinds 8,000/15,000, 0 ante

Bryan Micon raised in middle position and Abdullah Al-Shanti called from the button for less, putting his tournament life at risk. Eric Varnado called from the big blind and all three saw a flop of Q76.

Varnado bet the flop and Micon opted to call and see the Q turn card. Varnado bet out again, this time getting a fold out of Micon and sending Al-Shanti and Varnado to a one card run out for Al-Shanti's tournament life.

Abdullah Al-Shanti: A1065
Eric Varnado: AJJ9

With no available low, the K river was inconsequential and Varnado's flush was good for the whole pot, ending Al-Shanti's tournament run.
