Nguyen Flushed Away by Danchev

Nick Yunis opened the action with a min-raise right before the blinds had gone up. Dimitar Danchev called on the button only for Qui Nguyen to make it 16,000 to go from the small blind. That forced out Yunis while Danchev then pushed all in. Nguyen quickly called for what appeared to be 58,500 and the cards were on their backs.

Both players held suited aces and the 7♦5♦4♦ gave Danchev the ace-high flush. Drawing dead already, Nguyen could all but chuckle and left the tournament area with a grin while the board completed with the 9♠ turn and 4♣ river.

Half an hour ago, Tom McCormick had 110,000 in chips. He then lost an all-in against Kathy Liebert before doubling another short stack.

Last but not least, McCormick four-bet jammed with the A♣K♣ and Ron Fetsch looked him up with the A♦K♦. The 9♦5♦3♦ flop instantly reduced the outs of McCormick to zero, which made the turn and river a formality.

Jose Catela, who was in the big blind, was involved in a hand before the flop that saw 17,500 in the pot between the Catela, the player in the cutoff and the player on the button.

The player on the button had raised the action to 5,000, which drew calls from Catela and the player in the cutoff.

The flop saw J♠4♦7♥, which drew checks from Catela and the player in the cutoff. The button bet 5,000, and Catela responded with a check-raise to 14,000. Catela’s aggression resulted in folds from both players.

“Show the bluff,” one of the players said.

Catela then tabled A♥2♥.

"You were ahead," an opponent commented.

With 15,500 in the middle to the 8♥6♥5♦8♠ turn, Uri Reichenstein overbet for 22,000 out of the big blind. His sole opponent reluctantly called and they headed to the 9♥ river. Reichenstein then pushed all-in for around 65,000 and forced a fold.

Chase Davis picked a spot to make his stand after seeing a player in middle position raise to 6,000 and get two calls.

Davis, who was in the blind, moved all in for his remaining 13,000, and each of the three players involved in the hand called.

The dealer placed 10♦3♣10♠ on the flop, and all three players checked to the turn, which produced A♣. The three players checked yet again, bringing action to the river, where 6♥ appeared on the board.

All three players once again checked. With no side pot action, the players tabled their hands:
