With a medium-sized pot until the 10♠8♥3♦6♥ turn, Dann Turner pushed all-in with the covering stack and Kristofer Kneale snap-called.
Kristofer Kneale: A♣A♠
Dann Turner: 10♦9♦
"You got around 420k there?" Turner inquired and was ready to move forward the chips to pay off the double. Moments later, the 7♠ hit on the river and that knocked out Kneale.
The field continues to thin from the 144 players who started Day 2.
Xuming Qi, who began the day with 308,000, became the latest to hit the rail after his J♣10♠ didn’t improve against his opponent’s A♥A♦ on a board that showed 4♦6♥Q♠8♣7♦.
As Level 20 nears an end, only 59 players remain out of the 1,137 who entered the tournament.
All players below have collected $6,796 for their efforts and the same also applies for the next contender to bow out, as a pay jump to $7,644 awaits for reaching at least 62nd place.
David Uvaydov was facing a situation after he checked on the river and Qiang Xu bet 125,000 in position on a board showing 9♠Q♥7♣A♦9♦.
No problem, apparently.
Uvaydov then jammed his stack all in, which commanded Xu’s attention. Xu used a few seconds before folding, which saw Uvaydov’s aggressive play pay off.
Following a raise by Timothy Miles from an early position, Taylor Paur three-bet with a stack of around 360,000 and then called the four-bet shove by Miles only to find himself in the most classic of setups.
Taylor Paur: K♥K♣
Timothy Miles: A♥A♣
Both suits were covered as well and there was no escaping for Paur on a board of Q♥6♦2♦4♦Q♠, ending his run on the final eight tables.
In a preflop raising war, the chips went into the middle of the table between China's Xuming Qi and Slovenia's Blaz Zerjav with near even stack sizes involved.
Blaz Zerjav: A♥A♣
Xuming Qi: A♠K♥
Zerjav had the best of it and very little to fear on a board of 8♠4♥3♦6♦5♦. Both stacks were counted and Zerjav doubled for 610,000 to leave his table neighbour on fumes.
Joining the action on the J♠8♥4♥3♥ turn, Ludovic Geilich in the big blind and Ori Hasson both invested 67,000 in chips. That led them to the 3♣ on the river on which Geilich fired a bet of 198,000. Hasson went into the tank for two minutes and folded.
