A Look Inside Phil Hellmuth's WSOP Break Room: How Does He Fit on that Couch?

Level 8 : Limits 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

When you hold the record for the most World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, there are perks.

For Phil Hellmuth, whose 16 bracelets (and counting) may never be touched, one of those perks is his own personal break room at Horseshoe Las Vegas. That's a nice benefit especially on 90-minute dinner breaks.

Hellmuth granted PokerNews access to his small but intimate break room, which is in an undisclosed location. "Don't disclose the location. I don't need fans knocking on the door seeking autographs while I'm trying to rest," the Poker Hall of Famer joked.

Zinno Gets Shorter

Level 8 : Limits 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

In a larger three-way pot to the K5338 river, Anthony Zinno got out of the way and Brad Ruben's bet was called by a third player in the hand. Ruben tabled the A983 for treys full of eights and that earned it all, since his opponent didn't have a qualifying low.

One hand later, Zinno tangled with Van Law and got out of the way on the Q97J turn when Law bet the second street in a row.

Tom Koral was all-in after the three-way flop of A63 before the K turn and 5 river completed the board. Brandon Shack-Harris bet and Ilkka Heikkila called as the cards were revealed.

Shack-Harris tabled the KK53 for a set of kings, Heikkila had the A532 for the nut low. Koral's A843 for two pair and inferior low earned no portion of the pot and he was eliminated.

Bojang Takes From Merivirta

Level 8 : Limits 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

On the tail end of a Q886Q board, Ismael Bojang and Jyri Merivirta had two full bets out in front. Bojang reluctantly checked behind to get shown the 8332 by the Finn, which he had beat with the A872 as no low played.

Xaythavone Eliminates Monnette

John Monette
John Monette

John Monnette put the rest of his chips in on a flop of 10J2 against Andrew Barber in late position and Khamar Xaythavone on the button.

Barber and Xaythavone went heads-up for the side pot, with Barber betting the Q turn and both players checking the 6 river.

John Monnette: A872
Andrew Barber: J1076
Khamar Xaythavone: A10105

No low hand was possible on the 10J2Q6 board, so Xaythavone would win the hand with a flopped set of tens, eliminating Monnette.
