The PokerNews team was called over to a table to hear about a hand after the fact that had just took place.

A player in middle position opened to 1,000 and both the hijack and Frederic Robert in the cutoff made the call.

The flop fanned out K94 and action checked to the hijack who bet 2,000. Robert called and the initial raiser folded.

On the A turn the hijack checked and Robert took the lead with a bet of 5,000. The hijack put in a check-raise to 12,000 and Robert took some time before moving all in for 24,500. The hijack tanked for awhile before eventually making the call and the cards were shown.

Robert was in need of help against the bottom set of his opponent, and when the 6 peeled off on the river it was the flush for Robert that scored the pot and full double up to almost double starting stack.

Goodman Rivers a Flush

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On a board showing 5J52, the player in the hijack went all in and was called by Kyle Goodman on the button, who was covered.

Kyle Goodman: Q9
Hijack: QQ

The hijack had two pair and just needed to fade a spade. Unfortunately the K fell on the river, doubling Goodman up.

It was a welcome change of fortune for Goodman, who said he was knocked out of a tournament yesterday by reigning WSOP Main Event champ Espen Jorstad.

Coghlan Makes Flush In Four-Bet Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action was relayed by the table after the fact. David Coghlan opened to 1,200 from the button and Lance Banktooten put in a three-bet to 3,600 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Coghlan put in a four-bet to 9,000, which Banktooten called.

The flop came 743 and both players checked their options to the 9 turn. Banktooten elected to lead out for 8,000 and Coghlan made the call.

The K completed the board and Banktooten bet again, this time to 12,000. Coghlan moved all in for over 20,000 and Banktooten quickly let his hand go.

Coghlan revealed that he had AK for the turned ace-high flush to take down the four-bet pot.
