Taylor Leaves Gola With Crumbs

Thomas Taylor raised on the button and was called by Jason Gola in the small blind.

Both players drew two and then Gola check-called a bet from Taylor.

Gola drew two on the second draw and Taylor drew one. Gola again check-called a bet.

Both players drew one on the final draw and Gola check-called a final time. Taylor showed a nine-low board and Gola mucked and was left critically short-stacked.

Leonard Knocks Out Brandt and Takes from Hughes

Action was picked up after the second draw. Lawrence Brandt was already all in and at risk from the big blind. Patrick Leonard bet from the hijack and received a call from Ryan Hughes in the cutoff. Leonard drew one while Hughes stood pat.

With no draws remaining Hughes and Leonard both checked. Leonard tabled 7x6x5x4x2x for number four to eliminate Brandt and take a large chunk out of Hughes' stack.

Hillman Folds to Monnette's Pressure

Both players drew three on the first draw and then both players checked.

On the second draw, Hillman and Monnette drew two each and Monnette checked again — prompting a bet from Hillman. Monnette then raised and Hillman called.

Monnette stayed pat and Hillman drew one on the final draw. Monnette bet and Hillman thought a bit before letting his hand go.

Glaser Ousts Eckhart

Jason Eckhart bet from the cutoff, Glaser made it three bets and Eckhart raised it to four bets. Glaser called leaving action heads up going into the first draw, where both players drew two.

Eckhart bet again after the first draw putting himself all in and Glaser called to put his opponent at risk. Both players drew one.

Both players stood pat for the third draw.

Glaser had Eckhart pipped with a slightly better 97 which was enough to send his opponent to the rail.

Kessler Wins Without Showdown

Allen Kessler bet from the button and Alexander Freund made it three bets from the big blind. Kessler quickly called and drew two while Freund drew one.

Freund bet after the first draw and Kessler called. Freund stood pat and Kessler drew one.

After the second draw Freund fired a bet and Kessler called again, drawing while while Freud stood pat.

With no draws remaining Freund checked, Kessler bet, and Freund thought about his decision for about 20 seconds before folding.

"I talked him into bluffing" Patrick Leonard said at the same table as Kessler scooped a nice pot without having to showdown.

Williams Makes a Hero Call

Clinton Cartwright bet from the cutoff and James Williams defended his big blind. Both players drew two.

Williams check-called a bet from Cartwright after the first draw and then drew two while Cartwright drew one.

After the second draw Williams check-called another bet from his opponent and both players drew one.

With no draws left Williams checked, Cartwright bet and Williams called.

Cartwright had 7x5x3x3x2x for a missed wheel draw turned into a bluff and Williams had Kx7x6x5x2x for king-high to take down the pot.
