Thornton Makes a Straight to Double

Level 6

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three players, including Schuyler Thornton on the button and Maxx Coleman in middle position, put in 5,500 heading to the Q89 flop.

A player under the gun then bet 20,000 and Coleman got out of the way. Thornton, though, moved all in for his last 18,000.

Schuyler Thornton: A7910
Opponent: Q8JK

"You have it," Thornton asked his opponent before revealing his cards. He had a pair of nines and a straight draw, while his opponent held two pair.

The 7 turn didn't change anything, but Thornton completed his straight on the 6 river and doubled up.

Wilkinson Forces Out Long

Level 5

2-7 Triple Draw

Alex Wilkinson bet after the first draw and Philip Long raised. Wilkinson then put in a reraise and Long called.

Long took one while Wilkinson stood pat and bet. Long called and took one more, while Wilkinson again stood pat.

Wilkinson fired out another bet and Long, who made the final table of this event last year, gave it up.

Wilkinson, thanks to that pot, has now crossed 100,000 and is in contention for the largest stack in the room.

Davis Bets All Three Streets

Level 5

2-7 Triple Draw

The player on the button raised and was called by both blinds, including Lamont Davis in the big blind.

Davis and the button both took one, while the small blind took two. Davis bet and both opponents called.

All three players drew one on the second draw and Davis bet again. His two opponents stuck around to the third draw, where Davis and the button drew one more while the small blind stood pat.

Davis opened the betting for a third time and only the small blind called. Davis turned over an 8-5 and his remaining opponent mucked.

"First name, Lamont. Last name, idiot," tablemate Mike Matusow said following the hand.

"Middle name, complete," another tablemate joked.
