Lady Luck Shines on Nikzad Once Again

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Michael Bishop bet from under the gun for 80,000. Action folded to Ashton Nikzad who announced all in for 930,000. Bishop had no hesitation to make the call for 855,000

Michael Bishop: AK
Ashton Nikzad: Q10

Nikzad was behind but clapped his hands in delight after seeing a queen in the window on the board of Q2242 to give them a full house and to eliminate Bishop in the process.

Earlier in the day Nikzad tripled-up after cracking aces with queen-nine. The ladies are working for Nikzad today.

Jaffee Drills River to Secure Pot

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

WSOP bracelet winner Jared Jaffee could find some momentum after taking down a sizable pot.

Jaffee, who began Day 3 with 730,000, was involved in a postflop hand against Adam Kharman and the board showed 9QJ9. The pot already had a little more than 600,000 and it grew when Jaffee, who out of position, check-called Kharman’s 180,000 bet.

The situation escalated on the river, where Q appeared.

Jaffee took his time while Kharman shot sideway glances his way, and then Jaffee reached down with both hands to push out a massive 635,000 bet, which Kharman snap called.

Jaffee tabled Q8 for queens full, and Kharman immediately mucked his hand.

Gabriel Nastasa moved all in from under the gun for 345,000. Action folded back to the big blind Dietrich Fast who threw in a calling chip the moment the small blind folded.

Gabriel Nastasa: KJ
Dietrich Fast: AA

Nastasa couldn't believe Fast had pocket aces and despite hitting a king on the flop, the board of KQ843 was no help for the Israeli and headed to the exit.

Weissman Gets There on the River

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Joey Weissman
Joey Weissman

Justin Filtz raised to 120,000 in early position, then watched WSOP bracelet winner Joey Weissman call on the button.

The dealer fanned KAQ on the flop, which both players checked. The 3 provided some action, as Filtz led out 150,000, which Weissman called.

The river saw J and fireworks. Filtz checked, then watched Weissman go in the tank. Weissman took his time before counting out 500,000 off to the side of his chips. Then, he stacked the chips and cut out 475,000 before moving them forward as a bet.

Filtz snap called, then saw in dismay that Weissman tabled AJ for the nut straight.

“Nice river,” Filtz deadpanned as he watched the dealer push the pot to Weissman.
