Shakerchi Takes From Alaei and Obst

Daniel Alaei raised to 110,000 from the button before Talal Shakerchi made it 345,000 from the small blind. Alaei called and both players drew one. After the draw, Shakerchi fired 375,000 and Alaei got away from it.

A few hands later, action was on fourth street when Shakerchi check-called a bet from Obst. Shakerchi check-raised on fifth and Obst called before Obst called bets on sixth and seventh. Shakerchi turned up K62 for kings and sixes to scoop the pot. Obst sent the losing hand into the muck.

In the last hand before the break, Talal Shakerchi raised and James Obst defended his big blind. Obst check-called the AQ5 flop and the 7 turn. They checked the 7 river and Obst won the pot with the Q4 for queens and sevens,

James Obst raised to 80,000 and Josh Arieh made it 285,000 from the button with only about 40,000 behind. The buttons got out of the way and Obst called.

The flop was 8103 and Obst tossed out 75,000. Arieh called with the last of his stack and the cards were turned up.

Arieh was ahead with a pair of jacks and the board finished up 84 to secure a double for the five-time WSOP champion.
