Konnikova Shows Queens
Level 8
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Maria Konnikova opened to 2,500 in the hijack and her opponent called in the cutoff.
The flop came 10♦8♦K♠ and Konnikova's opponent called her continuation bet for 3,000. The 7♠ turn and 9♣ river brought no action and Konnikova tabled Q♥Q♦, which was enough to claim the pot.
