Divita Drills River to Send Opponent to Rail

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With the board showing 9A10, Michael Divita’s opponent got his stack in, which Divita covered, to put his tournament life at stake.

Opponent: A10
Michael Divita: AJ

Divita had the better ace, but was behind with his opponent flopping top two pair. Divita needed help, and the K on the turn opened the door for a gut-shot straight draw, which gave Divita additional outs.

Then, J on the river resulted in Divita having a better two pair to secure a come-from-behind win, which sent his opponent to the rail.

Monigold Scores Fast Double Up with Cooler Hand

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

There were even starting stacks to start the tourney. But just six minutes into Level 1, Brian Monigold had a player’s entire stack.

A player in late position raised preflop, and then the player to his immediate left three-bet.

Monigold, who was next to act on the cutoff, looked down at his hand and four-bet to 3,500, which forced out the original raiser. The player to his immediate right then five-bet to 10,000, which Monigold elected to flat.

The dealer fanned 10109 on the flop, which Monigold’s opponent led out with 4,000. Manigold called.

The turn saw 7, which Monigold’s opponent check. Monigold went all in, and the player to his right called to put his tournament life at stake.

Opponent: KK
Brian Monigold: AA

The river produced J, which sealed Monigold as the winner and sent his opponent to the rail.
