No-Limit Hold'em

The small blind checked the flop on a board of 7910, the big blind then bet 16,000, putting the decision on Jeremy Ausmus on the button. Ausmus called and the small blind folded, leaving them heads up to the turn of the J.

Both players checked the turn and when the 4 fell they checked again. The big blind tabled the A10 for flopped top pair and Ausmus showed he got there on the turn with the KJ.

Zamani Asks Matusow a Tough Question

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow has joined the fray with a fresh stack. Before he'd even played a hand, Martin Zamani asked him, "I thought you were playing the $25k Heads Up tomorrow?!"

Matusow said he has every intention to and when Zamani pressed him about running deep in this, Matusow shrugged - indicating he planned on playing it by ear.

Zamani had nearly a quarter-million in chips during this interaction and will be one to watch in the counts.

Katz Sends Hunichen To The Exit

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Pot-Limit Omaha

In a series of back-and-forth raises preflop, Cary Katz and Chris Hunichen were all in with Hunichen being the player at risk for his last 15,000.

Chris Hunichen: AK76
Cary Katz: AA98

Hunichen was behind and in need of help to stay alive, but when the flop came K75, it was the flopped two pair and flush draw that turned the tables on the hand. The runout, however, changed things again when the 10 and 6 fell to give Katz an unlikely straight to send Hunichen to the exit.

Engel Stacking Chips

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

With the flop showing A35, the big blind bet 3,000 and Ari Engel called from under the gun.

The turn came the A. Engel led out and the big blind called. A Q river received checks from both players.

The big blind showed 7x7x but Engel had hit river and turned over QxJx.

Negreanu Uses Blockers To Bluff Shove River

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Daniel Negreanu

Pot-Limit Omaha

In a three-way pot with 18,500 in the middle on a flop showing Q86, Daniel Negreanu checked from the big blind to a player under the gun who bet out 3,500. Both the middle position player and Negreanu made the call and the three saw the A turn.

Negreanu checked again and under the gun sized to 13,000, which again both of his opponents came along. The 9 completed the board and Negreanu announced all in for 28,000 total. The under the gun player quickly folded, and after a moment the middle position player mucked as well.

"Yeah I got one through," said Negreanu as he tabled JJK2 to show that he only had a pair of jacks but two key blockers to the straight.

"I doubled up with that pot, now I'm going to play like a nit," joked Negreanu as he stacked up his chips.
