Morita Hits the Straight

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Pat Landis was under the gun and raised to 8,000 and Mayuko Morita aka MJ called from the big blind.

The flop came out 74J and Landis placed a continuation bet of 14,000 and Morita moved all in for 51,500. Landis made the call and the cards were tabled.

Mayuko Morita: 910.
Pat Landis: J10.

Morita was behind but gunning for the straight or the backdoor flush draw and Landis held top pair and the club flush draw.

The turn 8 gave more equity to Landis but completed Morita's straight. The river 10 changed nothing and Morita doubled.

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jade Mitchell opened to 8,000 and Amy Devaudreuil three-bet in the cutoff to 25,000. It folded back to Mitchell who tanked for some time before making the call.

Things heated on the Q36 flop. Mitchell checked and Devaudreuil continued for 15,000. Mitchell thought about her options for a minute and eventually shoved for a remaining stack around 115,000. Devaudreuil immediately called:

Jade Mitchell: 77
Amy Devaudreuil: AA

The 9 turn and 5 river didn't bring any miracle to Mitchell who made her way to the exit while Devaudreuil racked the pot.
