On a board of 10♥6♠9♥6♣, the player in middle position checked to Michael Russell who tossed out a bet. His opponent check-raised and Russell called to see the 2♠ fall on the river.
Russell led with a bet and got a quick call before turning over 9♣9♦, good for a turned full house and the pot.
Ronnie Revizada entered Level 5 as a short stack, but that didn’t curb his enthusiasm.
With less than 4,000 to start a hand, Revizada, who was in late position, found himself in a hand with a player to his immediate left and Dennis Kim, who was in early position on a flop of A♥J♠10♣.
Kim led out with a bet into Revizada, who raised. The player to his immediate left and Kim called. The turn produced 9♦, which Kim checked. Revizada then made an all-in bet with his remaining chips. The player to his immediate left called, only to face Kim’s raise, which forced a fold.
“Did you flop a straight?” Revizada asked.
“I have a set,” said Kim, who tabled 10♠10♥.
“I have outs!” Revizada exclaimed as he tabled A♠9♥.
With action to the river, Revizada needed one of the two remaining Aces to hit the board. The 9♦ came on the river, giving Revizada a full house and false hope.
“I hit my outs!” Revizada exclaimed.
His joy, however, quickly disappeared as he realized he held an inferior full house to Kim’s 10s full. Revizada took the beat in stride and wished the table well before exiting the event space.
Action folded to the button who raised only to see Kyle Dilschneider three-bet from the small blind. The button tossed in a call to see a flop of 10♥5♦2♦.
Dilschneider continued with a bet which was quickly met with a call.
The turn brought the Q♥ which prompted a quick check from Dilschneider as the player on the button put out a bet and Dilschneider check-raised, quickly getting a call from his opponent before the dealer put out the A♣ on the river.
Dilschneider opted to lead this time and quickly got called before turning up Q♦Q♣. His opponent mucked and the dealer pushed the pot towards Dilschneider as he also took down a pot in the $333 WSOP Online event.
Action began when Michael Cunningham raised from early position, Michael Mendelson reraised, Michael Parizon called from middle position, and Matt Omell called from the button.
When the flop came K♦9♣3♥, Cunningham checked, Mendelson bet out, and the rest called.
Mendelson bet again on an 8♠ turn, Parizon and Omell folded, and Cunningham called.
A 6♦ river elicited a bet from Cunningham, but when Mendelson put in the raise, Cunningham slid his cards into the muck, and Mendelson dragged a 14,400 pot.
Nancy Brett raised in early position and was called by the two blinds.
The blinds checked their respective options on a flop of J♦2♦7♣, putting the action on Brett, who made the continuation bet.
After the player in the small blind quickly folded, the player in the big blind paused for a few seconds to look at his opponent before making a check-raise bet, which Brett didn’t hesitate to call.
The dealer placed 5♣ on the turn, which Brett’s opponent checked. With action back to her, Brett didn’t hesitate and made a bet.
The big blind folded and Brett was awarded the pot.
Trevor Friesen told PokerNews he had been "getting my *ss kicked" since he had been moved to a new table. But a series of big hands rebuilt his stack.
"They were laughing at me before... But they're not laughing now." With cashes in three previous WSOP limit hold 'em events, perhaps soon no one will be laughing at Friesen.
On a board of 9♦5♥2♠7♦, action checked through three players to the A♥ river.
The player first to act led with a bet prompting a fold from the player next to act before Galen Novello tossed out a raise. The early position player put in a call and Novello turned up the A♦K♦, sending the pot his way.
On a board of 10♠8♣7♦J♦, the early position player checked-called a bet by Kenji Faris before seeing the K♠ hit the river.
The early position player checked again before seeing Faris toss out another bet. The early position player called once more only to see Faris turn up the 9♦6♦ for a flopped straight.
His opponent tossed his cards toward the muck and Faris collected the pot.
