Shpiner Survives the Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ilya Shpiner shoved 81,000 and Patrick Popowski called from a couple of spots to his left.

Ilya Shpiner: AK
Patrick Popowski: QQ

It was a classic race, and the 775 flop wasn't looking promising for Shpiner. The J turn left him drawing to just six outs, and the A river was one of them as Popowski exploded out of his chair.

Ducks Never Good

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Just before the break, on a board reading J6A, Quinn Slattman bet 10,000 and was called by Kai Müller and the player on the button.

The turn brought the 8 and actions slowed down when everyone checked.

The river was the K and Slattman bet 45,000, was called by Müller, and the button eventually folded.

Slattman tried to admit defeat, but the table insisted she show, including Müller who was waiting for her to roll her hand. Slattman sheepishly showed the 22 and Müller quickly tabled the 66, winning him the pot with a set of sixes.

Slattman went on to say that pocket twos always get her in trouble.
