Qutami Bets One-Eighth Pot to Take It All Down

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

In a huge pot with over 48,000 in the middle, the completed board read 62789 when Ayman Qutami slid out a meager bet of 6,000 and the action was on his opponent, Brian Metter.

Metter then went into the tank for a good bit before he decided to toss in his cards and the pot was awarded to Qutami.

Kumar Takes One Out

Jasthi Kumar raised in middle position to 1,300 and the button and the small blind called. The big blind had other ideas and pushed all in for 19,500 and Kumar re-shoved for 28,000. The other players folded and it went heads up to the flop.

The board came out 9226K and Jasthi won with two pair.

Easy Game for Henson

Ray Henson opened to 1,000 from middle position and was called only by Sihao Zhang in the big blind.

The flop came out A5K and Henson continued for another 1,000 and Zhang promptly folded to award Henson the small pot.

Heads up on the turn with the board showing 5KQK, Antonio Galiana bet 7,700 from the big blind and Cody Bell called from under the gun.

When the river came the 10, Galiana snap-shoved all in and Bell promptly folded to award him the pile of chips.

The player on the button raised to 1,000 and the small blind three-bet to 4,100. Anthony Marquez called from the big blind and the button folded. The flop came out 9K2 and the small blind place a bet of 3,500 that Marquez called.

The turn came the 4 and the small blind led again for 3,800. Marquez came over the top, raising to 9,000.

The small blind attempted to elicit information from Marquez but in the end made the fold. Marquez flipped over AJ for the bluff and said with a smile, "I did it for PokerNews."

Prichard Saved by River Spade

On a flop of 8102, Joe Teanotoga and Jason Prichard became entangled in a betting war that ended with them both getting all their chips in the middle, with Prichard at risk.

Teanotogo started off ahead with his pair of kings, but the runout of 5 and 9 gave Prichard the flush on the river to win him the pot for the double-up.

"Wow, I thought you were going to hold for sure, my friend," Prichard said as he raked in the pot. "You've been running so hot."

Kings Good for Lucas

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Heads up after the turn on a board showing 726Q, Terrence Lucac bet 4,700 and Scott Schwalich made the call to see the 6 on the river.

Lucas decided to check and Schwalich quickly checked back. Lucas then tabled KK for a big two pair of kings and sixes to which Schwalich hastily mucked.
