Williams Doesn't Believe Kornuth

Picking up the action on the river with a completed board of Q8244, the action was on Chance Kornuth who shipped all in into a pot of around 15,000. Jeremiah Williams had a stack of around 45,000 in front of him and went into the tank for a minute.

"I have a pretty good hand to call with," Williams announced as he pondered his decision. He eventually stuck in some chips to call and Kornuth turned over 84 for a full house to send Williams to the rail.

Tice Calls Down Smith on the River

Level 4 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Landon Tice bet 4,000 on a board of 7J106 and Dan Smith called.

The river came the Q and Tice checked this time. Smith now announced a bet of 8,000 and Tice called with 107 for two pair which was good enough to take the pot.

Tice has now opened up a 2-1 chip lead over the defending champion.

Sullivan Overcomes Zack's Intimidation Factor

"You're a pretty intimidating guy for such a small stature," Keir Sullivan told Dan Zack as they saw a flop of 36A. Sullivan bet 2,000, then called a raise to 5,000.

The turn came the 7 and Zack checked over to Sullivan, who bet 10,000. Zack called to see the 4 river, where Sullivan flicked in a green 25,000 chip.

Zack used up a time bank before he mucked. "Tough one," Sullivan asked as he took the pot.

"Probably not," Zack replied.

"What, you don't believe me? I'm a pretty honest guy," Sullivan added.

Negreanu and Richardson Move On

Daniel Negreanu just completed his heads-up match with Bin Weng after a preflop encounter saw all of the chips go in the middle. Negreanu opened to 3,000 on the button and Weng three-bet to 15,000. Negreanu four-bet jammed all in and Weng called it off.

The board ran out clean for Negreanu who will be returning for the second round at 5 p.m. but first stopped by the rail to take a few photos.

Meanwhile, across the room, Daemon Richardson was also victorious in his matchup with Shota Nakanishi.

Winter Out In Front of Jorstad

The pot stood at 22,000 as Espen Jorstad checked his option on a board of 55K. Sean Winter on the button checked behind bringing the players to the turn.

On the 2 Jorstad again checked to Winter who fired 9,000 more into the middle forcing Jorstad to fold.

With around 42,000 in the pot on a board of 10827, Doug Polk bet 28,500 and Shunta Someya called.

The river came the 6 and Polk checked over to Someya, who announced he was all in. Polk quickly took a look back at his cards before tossing them into the muck.

"Nice hand," he said as he tapped the felt.

Weng Doubles to Stay Alive

Daniel Negreanu opened to 2,500 on the button and Bin Weng defended from the big blind. The flop came J88 and Negreanu continued with a bet of 2,000. Weng check-raised to 5,800 and Negreanu countered with a three-bet to 12,000. Weng jammed all in for 28,700 and Negreanu called it off.

Weng flopped trip eights to take the lead but Negreanu claimed he had backdoor draws to go with his over pair. The 9 on the turn gave Negreanu some more outs but the 7 on the river bricked out as Weng doubled up to survive.

With the board showing 3A5Q, Marko Grujic bet 26,000 and Chanracy Khun called.

The river came the 5 and Grujic used up a time bank chip before announcing he was all in. Khun, with around 70,000 remaining, quickly gave up his hand.

Deeb's Donk Does the Job

On a board of 73K Shaun Deeb check-called the 1,500 bet from Julien Martini who was on the button.

The board paired on the turn as it came the 7. Deeb now chose to lead for a sizing of 2,000 to which Martini folds.
