The Chad & Jesse Poker Show: Josh Arieh Talks Hot 2023 WSOP; David Williams on Bracelet Stolen in Home Robbery

Level 24 : Limits 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen continue The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

In the penultimate show of the summer, Chad & Jesse welcome two guests to the show starting with Josh Arieh, who has won two bracelets this summer and was nominated for the Poker Hall of Fame. Arieh talked about the WSOP back in the late 1990s, his career resurgence, Poker Stake, and shares a fun story involving Ted Forrest and the late Layne Flack.

The other guest is 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up David Williams, who was fresh of winning a Flip & Go. He talks about his history in that event, how his WSOP gold bracelet and diamond toothpick were stolen in a home robbery, and why he wouldn’t do Master Chef again.

Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

Ari Engel was all in with a board showing 55JJ6 while Omar Mehmood and Nghia Le were the ones trying to knock him out.

Mehmood turned over AA93 and Le tossed his losing hand in the muck. Engel peeled AQ42 and he couldn't catch up to Mehmood's aces so he was out of the tournament in 16th for $7,969.

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Jorge Leon opened preflop action by raising all in under the gun. Peter Brownstein then reraised from the button, with Ari Engel coming along from the big blind.

The flop came AJ6, and Engel bet. Brownstein raised, and Engel put in the last of his chips and joined Leon at risk.

Jorge Leon: KK106
Ari Engel: AJ72
Peter Brownstein: A753

The 9 turn and 4 river gave Brownstein a six-five low, and with it half of the pot. Engel had flopped two pair for the high. Leon's hand was no good, and he exited in 17th place.

Le, who recently scooped a huge three-way pot to chip up, completed before Luo raised. Zerjav and Le both made the call.

Fourth street saw action checked to Luo, who placed a bet. Both Zerjav and Le came along.

Zerjav bet on fifth street, which resulted in Le folding. Luo put in the last of his chips, and the cards were revealed.

Zerjav turned over a 5 as his final card, giving him a flush with no low. Luo could still find a low, but the Q ended his run in 18th.

Level 24 : Limits 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Jonah Seewald raised and Ashish Gupta called from the button before Gary Bolden came along from the big blind.

Bolden checked again and Seewald got his last 90,000 into the middle. Both players called and the river was 5.

Both remaining players declined to start a side pot on the river and the cards were turned up. Gupta had AQ63, but Bolden had K542 to take the low and Seewald had AJ85 to take the high with aces and jacks.
