Maurice Hawkins moved all in for 2,350,000 from early position, Joe Ghio reshoved for 10,000,000 in the hijack, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

"I have spades. Spades work," Hawkins said, already standing up with his backpack around his shoulders, heading to the 9♣9♠8♥ flop.

"That's not going to do it," he added. "I don't think i can win. Oh, yes I can, ten-seven."

"Nine-nine for a chop," a tablemate offered.

"Nah, nah, nah. It's easier to get ten-seven," Hawkins replied as the 8♠ fell on the turn, leaving him drawing dead.

"That's not going to do it. Why can't you have ace-king, my guy?" Hawkins asked Ghio after hitting the J♠ on the river that wasn't enough for the WSOP Circuit ring king, who instead hit the rail in 35th place.
