Chang Sends Tice to the Showers

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Landon Tice
Landon Tice

Landon Tice was down to just 7,000 chips and moved all in from early position. The action folded to Timothy Chang in the small blind who made the call and the hands were tabled.

Landon Tice: KJ
Timothy Chang: 99

It was a coin flip and the flop of 773 favored Chang with the pair of nines. The Q on the turn and the 2 on the river also missed Tice who headed to the exit, but not without a troll from Doug Polk first.

Damian Salas

A player in middle position opened to 1,100 and Damian Salas called in the cutoff before both of the blinds called.

The Q95 hit the flop and the action around to the 8 turn. Once again three of the four players checked before Salas tossed a bet of 1,700 in the middle, which received quick folds from all of his opponents.

Aces Full For Aoki

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Ryan Depaulo opened to 1,200 from under the gun and got three callers, including Dennis Aoki in middle position and Thomas Torres in the cutoff.

Depaulo and Aoki checked on the A108 flop and Torres bet 2,000. Only Aoki called. Aoki check-called again on the 3 turn when Torres sized up to 4,000.

Aoki checked once more on the 3 river and Torres checked back before showing a flush with QQ. However, it was no good against the aces full of Aoki with AA, who claimed that he has had aces five times today.

"You guys are trying to trap me with my nines," Depaulo said after his opponents sneakily called behind him with big pairs.

A Set Wins Against Gilligan

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Irish player Ronan Gilligan opened to 1,300 from the cutoff, but the button didn't take long to three-bet to 3,000. The blinds folded, and Gilligan called.

On the flop 83Q, Gilligan check-raised to 4,500 after the button bet 1,100. His opponent called.

The Q came on the turn and Gilligan added 8,700 more to the pot. After some time, the button called and the 2 was revealed on the river.

Both players checked and the button won the pot, showing KQ for trip queens.

Micallef Chips up

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Barny Boatman raised to 1,200 from middle position and was called by Brandon Dickey in the hijack and Danielle Micallef in the cutoff.

Boatman continued for 2,200 on the J6K flop and both Dickey and Micallef called.

Action then checked to Micallef on the Q turn and she bet 3,000. Only Dickey called.

Dickey tanked for a long while before deciding to check when the 8 completed the board and Micallef checked behind.

Dickey turned over AJ for a pair of jacks, but they were no good against the KQ of Micalllef for two pair and she dragged the pot.

The flop fell 552 and Loeliger continued for 2,000 after a check from her opponent. He would call and the turn then was dealt the 6.

Another check followed from under the gun before Loeliger sized up to 4,000. This time, it was enough to get a fold from her opponent.

Bellande Does One Dirty

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

From the sounds of the table talk, Jean-Robert Bellande and Clayton Hardt got all of the chips in the middle on the turn with Bellande being the player at risk for 13,200. The board read J96K and there was already around 35,000 in the middle prior to the turn.

Jean-Robert Bellande: 87
Clayton Hardt: KJ

Hardt made two pair to hold a strong lead, but the 10 on the river gave Bellande a straight in order to double up back to a starting stack.

"Sometimes when you're a pro, you just get lucky," Bellande started yammering after the hand. "Daniel and Phil have been doing that to me for years. You played it well. When you're a pro, you'll do that to someone else."
