Marquez Gets Four-Bet

The player on the button had open-raised before Ana Marquez made a three-bet to 16,000 from the big blind. The button then put out a four-bet to 40,000 and that sent Marquez into the tank.

"Stupid hand," she remarked while eventually sending her cards into the muck.

"You Checked the River"?

A player in middle position raised to 3,500 and the button and Brett Shaffer from the big blind both called. The flop came out 747 and the original raiser bet 4,000 after Shaffer checked. The button folded and Shaffer made the call.

The turn brought the 5 and the original raiser continued betting and made it 12,000 and Shaffer called.

On the river Shaffer checked and the middle position player checked. Shaffer said, "You checked the river?", incredulously. Shaffer turned over 99 for the full house and the middle position player quickly flashed 8x8x.

Rania Nasreddine raised from the hijack to 3,500, finding one call from the player in the big blind.

Heads up to a flop of 4AA, the big blind check-called a bet of 2,500 from Nasreddine.

The turn brought the 9. This time the big blind checked and then folded to a bet of 6,500 from Nasreddine.

Nasreddine continues to grow her stack going into the penultimate level of the day.

Aguilera's Boat Gets Paid in Full

Action was picked up on the river with the board reading 2Q8Q2 and about 20,000 in the pot. Jose Ignacio Aguilera had bet 25,000 from early position sending his opponent who was on the button into the tank.

Eventually, with a resigned look on his face, the button flicked in a calling chip.

Aguilera tabled Q8 for a full house to take down a decent pot.

Hawkins Puts Maximum Pressure

Maurice Hawkins and Brandon Mincher were both in the upper echelons of the chip counts when they tangled in a pot worth over 150,000 chips by the turn. The board read 10959 and Hawkins made a bet of 67,000 from the hijack. Mincher was on the button and made the call.

The river fell the 2 and Hawkins instantly made a bet of 175,000, enough to put Mincher all-in.

"I need a second guys," Mincher said as he mulled over this predicament.

Eventually, he made the fold and Hawkins increased his chip lead in the Red section even further.

Steedman Moves In on the River

Simon Steedman and Sota Hanada went heads-up to the turn on a board of 810A9 when Steedman, in the cutoff, bet 11,500 and Hanada called from the big blind.

The river came the 7 and Steedman moved all in for around 60,000. Hanada's cards instantly hit the muck and Steedman had more chips to pile up beside his Pokemon card protector.

With 23,000 in the middle the flop read 753, and Blair Hinkle checked to his opponent who tossed a bet of 21,000 into the middle. Hinkle ripped all in, His opponent had 32,500 behind and tanked about two minutes before making the call.
