Brewer Approaching a Milly After Busting Szerszen

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Chris Brewer and Czeslaw Szerszen saw a flop of 642 when Szerszen bet 50,000. Brewer then raised enough to put Szerszen all in for around 60,000 more, and Szerszen tossed in a call.

Czeslaw Szerszen: 77
Chris Brewer: 1010

Szerszen was already standing up from his seat and heading for the exit by the time the dealer turned over the Q turn and 4 river, sealing his elimination as Brewer moved on the cusp of 1,000,000.

Garcia Takes Down Four-Bet Pot

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Garcia opened 11,000 under the gun, and the button called before Khamsy Bowles three-bet 36,000 in the big blind. Garcia put in the four-bet to 92,000, forcing the button out immediately. Bowles took about 45 seconds and made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of A44, and Bowles check-folded to a continuation bet of 49,000.

Mitich Gone

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jacob Mitich came into the day with a healthy stack but that had been dwindled down to under 100,000 after the dinner break. Action folded to him on the button and he moved all in for his last 84,000. The small blind got out of the way but the big blind made the call with the covering stack.

Jacob Mitich: AQ
Big Blind Player: KK

Mitich had run right into his opponent's cowboys to leave himself drawing thin. No help came on the 7108 flop or the 10 turn. The 4 river completed the board, confirming Mitich's exit late on Day 3.

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a heads-up completed river of 73A4J, the pot has over 220,000 in the middle when Johnny Chan checked to his adversary, Gualter Fortuna, who then flipped over A10 for a pair of aces.

"That's good," Chan announced and mucked his cards to award the large pot to Fortuna.

Ace-High Enough For Farrell

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Niall Farrell opened to 10,000 from the hijack and was three-bet to 30,000 by the player in the cutoff. Action folded back to Farrell, who called.

Farrell check-called a 20,000 bet from his opponent on the 66K flop and a 60,000 bet from his opponent on the Q turn after a lengthy tank.

Both players checked down on the 3 river and Farrell tabled AJ for sixes with an ace-high kicker. It was enough, however, as the cutoff mucked and Farrell took down the sizable pot.

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier: QQ
Under-the-gun: 109

The board ran out 84534 securing Grospellier the full double.

Rosen Scores an Elimination

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jesse Rosen raised to 11,000 preflop from the hijack. The player on the button reraised all in for their last 55,000, and Rosen made the call.

Button: A9
Rosen: AJ

Rosen was ahead, and also picked up a flush draw on the 10Q6 flop. His opponent found the wrong nine on the 9 turn, which gave Rosen the knockout after the meaningless Q came on the river.

"Should have given him the royal," joked another player at the table.
