Cartwright Can Feel the Payne

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Joshua Payne opened to 40,000 with the AA, picking up a call by Kyle Cartwright in the big blind with the K9. On a K52 flop, Cartwright opted to check-call for 35,000 and checked again the 10 on the turn.

Payne fired a second barrel for 105,000 and received a call by Cartwright, who then improved with the 9 river. Cartwright now checked and Payne bet for 325,000 as his opponent vaulted out of the chair.

Cartwright shook his head but called after a minute for Payne to announce aces, as Cartwright shook his head.

"Is that no good?" Payne inquired and was then instantly shown the bad news.

Obst Gives Up on the River

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Tanner Lefferts and James Obst had created a 115,000 pot preflop and they went heads up to a flop of 5J8.

Lefferts bet 40,000 chips on the 5J8 flop and Obst made the call. On the 8 turn, Lefferts upped the ante to 105,000 and Obst once again matched the bet.

The river then fell the 9 and Lefferts once again increased his sizing, this time to 230,000. It was enough to let Obst let his hand go, and Lefferts overtook Obst in chips before the table broke not much later.

Gimble Bluffs Vierling

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Kevin Gimble opened from the hijack and was called by Jessica Vierling on the button and Jason Koon in the big blind.

No further action occurred on the flop 894 as all three players checked. However, on the turn J, Gimble bet 65,000. Vierling made the call, but Koon folded.

Things got interesting on the river A when Gimble added 60,000 more chips to the pot. On the other side of the table, Vierling raised to 200,000. Gimble seemed like he didn't understand Vierling's story, so to check if the story was true, he three-bet to 460,000.

The action went back to Vierling, and it was her turn to struggle. She hesitated between calling and folding for a long minute, but eventually chose to fold.

Fair player, Gimble showed K10 for a nice bluff.

Kyle Finds a Set Up to Double Up

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The board already showed A910A and the big blind checked to Jon Kyte who bet 60,000. After some thinking, the big blind raised it to 160,000.

Kyte tanked and decided to sent 460,000 in the middle, leaving him with only 5,000 behind. The big blind shoved and Kyle called with his last chip:

Jon Kyte: A9
Big Blind: K6

Kyte had hit the full house while his opponent had the flush, and doubled up after the 2 completed the board.
