Hulme Rivers Straight Flush; Dunst Eliminated

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Tony Dunst
Tony Dunst

Andrew Hulme opened to 325,000 from under the gun and Ryan Tosoc put in a three-bet to 800,000 next to act. Tony Dunst called for his last 525,000 and it folded back to Hulme who made the call.

The flop came Q106 and Hulme check-called a bet of 600,000 from Tosoc. On the A turn both players checked their options to the J river.

Hulme took a few seconds before sliding out a bet of 1,825,000 and Tosoc quickly let it go. Dunst tabled KQ for a straight but was no good when Hulme rolled over 98 for a straight flush to score the pot and send Dunst out in 66th place.

Torres Runs Into Queens

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Sergio Torres
Sergio Torres

Sergio Torres raised to 425,000 from early position as action folded to Jose Aguilera in the small blind who three-bet to 1,500,000. Torres then pushed his entire stack forward and Aguilera called.

Sergio Torres: 99
Jose Aguilera: QQ

Torres found out he was crushed by Aguilera's queens and needed a miracle, but none arrived on the 5107107 board. The stacks were counted down and Torres had 8,200,000 remaining. Aguilera had him covered by about 400,000 and a teary-eyed Torres went off to commiserate with his supporters on the rail.

Jack O'Neill

Carlos Henrique Da Silva opened to 400,000 from early position, and Jack O'Neill defended his big blind. O'Neill check-called for 475,000 on the QJ9 flop before folding to a bet of 800,000 on the 4 turn.

The following hand, James Jeffrey opened to 400,000 from the cutoff. O'Neill got into the mix once more and three-bet to 850,000 from the small blind. Jeffrey jammed for around 1,900,000, and O'Neill called.

James Jeffrey: KK
Jack O'Neill: A10

The J43 flop was safe for Jeffrey but the A turn left him drawing to two outs to survive. The 10 provided no saving grace and he bowed out in 60th place.

Dea Counterfeited on the River

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Andrew Dea
Andrew Dea

Andrew Dea moved all in for 1,775,000 from under the gun, Harsheel Kothari reshoved in middle position, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Andrew Dea: 66
Harsheel Kothari: AK

The two opponents put their arms around each other's shoulders awaiting the 789 flop. Dea remained in front but the 7 turn opened the possibility of his pair being counterfeit.

The 8 river left Dea playing the board and Kothari's ace sent him to the rail to a round of hugs from his now-former tablemates.

"Sorry," Kothari said to him.

"No sorry. That's the way it goes," the good-natured Dea replied.

Villa Triples Up, Weinman Eliminates Davis on the Side

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Alexander Villa
Alexander Villa

Daniel Weinman opened to 425,000 from under the gun and Alexander Villa ripped all in for 2,500,000 in middle position. Brian Davis four-bet to 5,000,000 on the button and Weinman announced all in for 11,750,000. Davis thought for a minute and then called off his stack of 10,550,000.

Alexander Villa: AA
Brian Davis: JJ
Daniel Weinman: KK

The flop came 952 and things stood the same as they did preflop. The 7 on the turn was a brick and the Q on the river got some hearts rising before everyone realized that it also had no impact. Villa earned a triple up and Weinman took down the massive side pot, eliminating Davis from the tournament.

Betito showed 96 for a flush draw, while Maceiras had flopped trips holding A3 and had a draw to a higher flush.

Alexander Villa raised it up from the cutoff and John Racener moved all in for just under 5,000,000 from the big blind. Villa quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

John Racener: AxKx
Alexander Villa: 9x9x

It was a coin flip for stacks and the board ran out clean for Villa as his pocket nines held up to defeat Racener. One of the only players remaining with final table experience, Racener was sitting underneath the photo of Jonathan Duhamel, the champion he lost to back in 2010.

Joshua Payne
Joshua Payne

Ryan Tamanini limped in from the small blind and called when Joshua Payne made it 700,000 from the big blind.

Tamanini check-called bets of 525,000 and 1,350,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read Q83K6.

Tamanini checked again, and Payne fired a third barrel of 3,300,000 into the middle. Tamanini was perplexed by the river bet, and briefly left his seat before sitting back. He made the call to set up a 12,000,000 pot late on in the night.

Payne went runner-runner with his K6 to make two pair and Tamanini mucked his hand.
