Steve Yea moved all in with A♥7♠ and Chih Fan made the call with K♦Q♣.
Yea was ahead with his ace-high but the flop of K♣8♦5♦ was not his friend as it gave the lead to Fan with top pair.
Miraculously, the runout of 4♣6♣ gave Yea a runner-runner straight and he scooped the pot for a double-up.
Mark Dube opened to 500,000 with Q♣Q♠ and Chih Fan called with 6♥7♥.
The flop of K♣7♣6♣ gives Fan the lead with two pair but Dube continued for 500,000 with his big pair and queen-high flush draw.
Fan quickly called and the two went to the turn 10♠, which saw a jam from Dube for 2,400,000 and a call from Fan to put him at risk.
Unfortunately for Fan, the river was the 10♣ which gave Dube the flush and secured him the pot for the double.
Chih Fan with K♥K♦ raised from under the gun to 5,500,000 and John Henry Gordon with 4♥4♣ three-bet 2,050,000 in the small blind.
Steve Yea, in the big blind, found Q♠Q♣ and moved all in for 11,300,000. Fan took some time before making the call for 5,600,000 and Gordon folded.
The board ran out with 10♥7♠6♦3♦8♥ and Fan was very relieved that his kings held.
John Henry Gordon opened to 500,000 with Q♣J♣ and then Joseph Brumpacheco three-bet with 7♥7♦ to 2,600,000- leaving 225,000 behind. The action folded back to Gordon who just called after some considerable thought.
On the flop of 4♠10♦A♠, Brumpacheco put the last of his chips into the middle and Gordon called to put him at risk.
Brumpacheco was still in the lead with his sevens, but the turn K♥ was brutal as it gave Gordon the nut straight to lock up the hand. The river was the irrelevant 6♦ and Gordon was awarded the pot, while Brumpacheco was eliminated in seventh place as the first casualty at the final table.
Simeon Spasov raised from under the gun with 10♦10♣ and Chih Fan made the call from the big blind with A♠J♥. The flop arrived with J♣3♦10♠ and Fan checked while Spasov made a continuation bet of 350,000. The poker coach Fan from Taiwan made the call.
The turn gave Spasov an even better lead with the 3♥ and Fan lead out for 500,000 and Spasov flat called setting the trap for the river.
Fan continued his betting on the river 2♦ with 850,000 and Spasov put out 4,500,000 and it was apparent that Fan was upset but he made the call to see the bad news that Spasov had a full house.
John Henry Gordon opened to 450,000 and Anthony Marquez took some time checking on the other table before raising almost all of remaining stack. Gordon then moved all in, with Marquez making the call.
Anthony Marquez: 9♠8♠
John Henry Gordon: J♣J♥
"You got me again," said Marquez as he saw Gordon's pocket pair. The 6♦5♥8♦2♠4♥ runout left Gordon in front, as Marquez bowed out in eighth place.
John Henry Gordon raised to 400,000 on the button before Anthony Marquez made it 1,200,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Gordon, who announced all in.
Marquez made the quick call and the two chip leaders turned up their cards.
John Henry Gordon: A♠A♣
Anthony Marquez: A♥K♣
Marquez found a single king and no more on the Q♣K♥8♠4♦9♦ runout, sending most of his chips to the left while keeping just four big blinds. Gordon held with aces to take a massive chip lead.
Francisco Vazquez committed most of stack by raising to 1,200,000 in the cutoff before Mark Dube moved all in from the big blind. Vazquez made the call and the hands were turned up.
Francisco Vazquez: 3♥3♦
Mark Dube: 9♥9♦
Vazquez could not catch any part of the 4♦7♠4♠8♠6♥ board, ending his run in ninth place.
Corey Wick moved all of his chips into the pot from the button and Steve Yea made the call from the big blind for 780,000.
Corey Wick: K♠7♥
Steve Yea: A♠2♦
The board was non-eventful with J♥4♣3♦3♠9♠ and Yea took it with the ace-high.
