Shoreman Among Leaders After Huge Preflop Clash

Level 11
Jon Shoreman
Jon Shoreman

Big O

Dan Shak had raised from the cutoff before Jon Shoreman three-bet from the small blind. Shak then made another pot-sized raise and Shoreman quickly five-bet jammed for 162,000 chips.

Shak had less than that with 159,000, and he called off all of them to create a pot of over 150 big blinds.

Dan Shak: AKKJ2 All in
Jon Shoreman: AA872

Shak did not make a low on the 9353A runout, and Shoreman's full house and 7-low saw him scoop the pot to eliminate Shak, who quickly departed the tournament area.

Meanwhile, defending champion Chad Eveslage departed from another table.

Chidwick Has a Short Day as Johnson Hits a Five

Level 11

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Heads-up on the first draw, Marco Johnson bet enough to put Stephen Chidwick all in, and Chidwick called for his last 12,000.

Chidwick drew two and Johnson one, then both players drew one. Chidwick had 8-5-4-2 as he peeled his last card, which was a jack.

Johnson was showing 8-4-3-2 and hit a five on the last draw to win the pot and send Chidwick to the exit.

Level 11
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Badeucey

Dylan Smith raised from the cutoff and was called by Phil Ivey in the small blind and Ryan Miller in the big blind.

Ivey then drew three cards, Miller drew two, and Smith drew one. The action checked to Smith, who fired out a bet and received two calls.

On the second draw, Ivey drew one card, Miller still drew two, and Smith stood pat. Smith placed another bet, which Ivey check-called. Miller, however, check-raised and saw both of his opponents come along to the final draw.

Ivey decided to stay pat, while Miller needed one fresh card. Seeing the previous action, Smith decided to exchange two cards. After the draw, Ivey checked to Miller, who bet again. Smith quickly threw away his cards before Ivey tossed in a call.

Miller tabled 97654 for a nine-low and seven-badugi, which awarded him half the pot when Ivey showed 76432 for a better low.

Volpe Scoops Concha

Level 11

Badeucy

Paul Volpe raised on the button and Luis Concha called in the small blind. Daniel Negreanu folded his big blind, then took out his camera and went around the room asking players what game they were calling.

Both players drew two and Concha bet. Volpe then raised and Concha called.

Concha took one, while Volpe stood pat and bet. Concha called, then called again on the third draw where he took one and Volpe patted.

"Eight-seven perfect," Volpe said, showing 87432. Concha mucked and Volpe took the pot.

Level 10

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

George Alexander raised to 4,000 on the button and Michael Martinelli and Chris Vitch called in the blinds.

Alexander then bet 13,500 and only Martinelli called. Martinelli took one while Alexander patted again.

Alexander bet 40,000 and Martinelli again called. Alexander patted once more, while Martinelli took one. Both players then checked.

Alexander showed an 8-7-6 while Martinelli revealed he had paired his six on the third draw as he gave up the pot.

Mizrachi gets Three-Bet

Level 10

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Robert Wells and Robert Mizrachi had each put in three bets before the first draw when Wells drew three cards and Mizrachi drew one. Wells then check-called a bet from Mizrachi and each player drew one card on the second draw.

After the draw, Wells led out with a bet, seeing a raise from Mizrachi. Wells bumped it up further with a three-bet, but Mizrachi had seen enough and quickly forfeited the pot by folding his cards.
