Smith Building Big Stack

Level 28 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

A player from early position raised to 320,000 and Brian 'Smitty' Smith called from middle position. When it folded around to the small blind he jammed for roughly 1,600,000. The big blind then moved all in himself for 1,900,000. After the early position player folded, Smith called to put the two players at risk.

Small Blind: QQ All in
Big Blind: 1010 All in
Brian Smith: QJ

The flop of 3JJ propelled Smith into the lead. The 5 turn and K river secured the elimination of two more players from the event, as Smith's stack is among the biggest in the room.

Burns Sends Opponent to Rail

Level 28 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Joseph Burns raised in early position, and then faced an all-in bet from the player to his immediate left.

Action folded back to Burns, who had the all-in player covered, and he quickly snap called to put his opponent at risk.

Opponent: AQ All in
Joseph Burns: AA

“You had to have that,” the all-in player said upon seeing the tabled cards.

Burns’ opponent then asked dealer to put spades on the board, but the request wasn’t accommodated because the dealer fanned J45 on the flop. Then, the K on the turn and Q on the river gave Burns the knockout blow.

Xie Triples up with Jacks

Level 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Middle position jammed all in and covered the stacks of both Lisa Xie in the hijack, who called the jam with 500,000, and the all in from Guilherme Desouzapessoa in the big blind.

Guilherme Desouzapessoa: 68All in
Lisa Xie: JJAll in
Middle position: KxKx

When the hands were flipped, a player at the table commented, "this is the craziest table I've played, and I have been playing poker for 25 years."

Preflop, middle position was ahead with kings and nothing changed on the 10610 flop, despite Desouzapessoa hitting a six.

Xie soared into the lead on the J turn, and the 5 river changed nothing.

Xie got a triple up and knocked out Desouzapessoa.
