Wagner Hits the Flush; Baker Sends out Werthmann

Level 16 : Limits 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

On a heads-up flop of Q48, Lucas Wagner checked, Thom Werthmann bet, Wagner raised, and Werthamnn called.

On the turn 6, Wagner bet and Werthmann just called to see the A on the river. Wagner bet again, and Werthman called and tabled A6 for a rivered two pair, but then Wagner showed 46 for a rivered flush to take down the pot.

Left short, Werthmann got it all in preflop the very next hand against David "Bakes" Baker, who covered.

Thom Werthmann: J10
David "Bakes" Baker: 55

Although he had two overs, the runout of K4872 failed to save him and he was sent to the exit.

David Baker

David "ODB" Baker opened in the hijack and Jorge Ufano three bet next to act. Nick Caltabiano called on the button, as did Frank Yakubson in the big blind before Baker put in a four-bet. Ufano, Caltabiano and Yakubson all made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of K52 and all four players checked to see the K turn. The action checked once more to Ufano who fired out a bet, and Caltabiano called before Baker raised. Only Ufano stuck around with a call.

The 3 completed the board on the river and Baker dropped a bet across the line. Ufano quickly called, and Baker tabled QQ to drag the pot.
