Mamut Cannot Shake Konnikova

Punsri Shoves the River

A flop of K72 had been spread across the table and Chongxian Yang had bet 15,000 into Punnat Punsri, who called.

The 6 hit the turn and Yang fired another bet of 45,000, and after using a time extension chip, Punsri made the call.

Yang slowed down with a check on the 8 river and Punsri shoved all in, which put Yang to the test for his last 65,000 chips. It was Yang's turn to use some extra time and after mulling it over for a minute, he made the fold.

Negreanu Sniffs It Out

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu and Sean Winter were heads up on a flop of JA5. With 40,000 chips in the pot, Winter checked to Negreanu, who made a bet of 11,000 chips.

Winter then check-raised to 25,000, after which Negreanu announced another raise.

Winter folded before an amount could be uttered, forfeiting the pot to his opponent.

After the hand, Erik Seidel sat down with a fresh stack of 150,000 chips.

Rheem Min-Raises the Flop

Chino Rheem had opened under the gun and called a three-bet of 23,000 from the player in the hijack

A flop of 23J saw Rheem check, the hijack bet 26,000, Rheem min-raised to 52,000, and the hijack folded.

Mamut and Ivey Battle Over Aces

Nikolai Mamut raised to 6,500 under the gun. Phil Ivey on the button inquired after Mamut's stack before flicking in the call, after which Espen Jorstad defended his big blind.

The flop fell AAA, leading to some table chatter. Jorstad checked to Mamut, who continued for 5,000 chips. Ivey made the call before Jorstad folded.

The 3 came on the turn, which saw Mamut bet 26,000. A quick fold followed from Ivey, and the pot was shipped to Mamut.

Niall Farrell raised to 6,000 from the hijack and in the cutoff, Scott Ball three-bet to 21,000 which Farrell called.

Both players checked the 5J6 flop to the 7 turn where Farrell check-called a bet of 12,000 from Ball.

The river peeled off the A which saw Farrell check over to Ball who bet 43,000.

"Did you just flop it?" asked Farrell as he contemplated his decision. After some more thought he put in the chips and mucked after seeing Ball's A3 for a flopped flush.

Bonomo Claims an Elimination

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The flop read 3410 with 15,500 in the middle.

The player in the big blind checked and Justin Bonomo bet 3,500 from the button. The big blind raised it up to 8,500 for Bonomo to respond with a shove for his opponent to call for around 37,000 in total.

The rest of the board completed with the 7 on the turn and the 9 on the river for Bonomo to bust his opponent with the flopped pair of treys.
