Hallaert Doubles Up Woods

Barry Woods raised to 5,500 from the cutoff and was called by Joe McKeehen on the button. Kenny Hallaert then pumped it up to 25,000 in the small blind before Woods jammed all in for 82,500.

McKeehen quickly folded and Hallaert's calling chips hit the felt just as swiftly.

The Q2610 runout remained free of an ace, and Woods faded the "Barry" on the Q river as well, doubling him up and leaving Hallaert with just over 20 big blinds.

Conniff Folds to Sitbon

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Asher Conniff raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, and Julien Sitbon three-bet to 22,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, and Conniff took some time before making the call in the end.

The flop came down with the 33K, Sitbon continued with a bet of 5,500 for Conniff to contemplate it for a bit before folding.

Wilson Bluffs Into Kolev

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The board had been completed, reading 1097J5. The short-stacked Yuliyan Kolev checked to Andy Wilson. With around 40,000 chips in the pot, Wilson put Kolev all in for a pot-sized bet.

Kolev threw in a call, after which Wilson sheepishly turned over K6 for a bluff. Kolev played the same hand with K6, but his king of hearts had made a flush and doubled him up.

During the hand, Maria Ho sat down with a fresh stack.

Hunichen Falls To Sternheimer

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player raised to 5,500 in the hijack and Chris Hunichen called in the cutoff which saw Philip Sternheimer three-bet to 26,500 which saw only Hunichen call.

The flop rolled out 622 and Hunichen checked over to Sternheimer and called the 21,000 bet on the flop.

On the turn 8, Hunichen checked over to Sternheimer who moved all in for 90,000 effective which Hunichen called.

The river K kept Sternheimer's kings in the lead and he eliminated Hunichen from the tournament.

Konnikova Fires Big Bets

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Maria Konnikova raised her button to 6,500 and was called by Espen Jorstad and Nikolai Mamut in the blinds. Konnikova then continued for 16,000 on the A2K flop, which Jorstad check-called and Mamut check-folded.

On the subsequent 8 turn, Jorstad checked once again before Konnikova pushed 65,000 chips in the middle. Jorstad quickly dispatched of his cards as Konnikova's stack grew back above what she started with.

Phil Ivey was also seated at this table and had been chipping up throughtout the early levels of the day.

Yankov Shoves On Foxen

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action was picked up the turn in a pot between Kristen Foxen in the hijack and Krasmir Yankov in the cutoff.

The flop read 103J and with 48,500 in the center, Foxen checked over to Yankov who bet 21,000 and Foxen called.

On the turn 3, Foxen checked once more over to Yankov who moved all in for 73,000 effective and Foxen folded.
