McGowan Puts Opponent to the Test

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff who raised to 6,000. The button and small blind called, and Joe McGowan, in the big blind, called as well.

The flop came 5J3, the small blind checked, and McGowan bet 9,000. The cutoff called, while the button and small blind got out of the way.

On the 7 turn, McGowan bet 80,000, enough to put the cutoff all in, who had 78,000 behind. The cutoff folded and McGowan dragged in the pot.
