Gray Delivers a Double Knockout to Rake in a Mountain of Chips

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action in this Pot-Limit Omaha hand was caught on the river, with two players packing up to leave the tournament area. A big pot was heading in the direction of the excited Shellie Gray, who had apparently delivered the double knockout.

The board was 39K5J. According to the players, quite a lot of chips already went in before the flop, but it was on the turn that all the money went in for the first of the all-in players, who was sitting on the button. The rest of the money for the other all-in player, who was in the big blind, went in on the river.

Button: AK63 All in
Big blind: AA98 All in
Shellie Gray: AQ105

The big blind had the strongest hand preflop, but Gray flopped the flush draw and a gutshot. The latter came in on the river, giving her the nut straight.

Gray, who needed about three more hands to rake in all the chips she won, said she felt she had to be lucky after getting to seat down at Table 77, seat 7.

Bomb Pot Chaos; Zack Brings Order

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

PLO Bomb Pot:

A player in middle position bet 2,700 and Simon Lefebvre went all in for 7,600. Brian Barker called, as did the player on his left. Action furthered even more when Dan Zack went all in for 24,200. The initial raiser and Barker made the call.

Simon Lefebvre: 9975 All in
Middle Position: K1077 All in
Dan Zack: AQ84 All in
Brian Barker: JJ93

With no further action possible, both boards ran out as follows:

7J9 5A
434 K6

A flustered dealer had three pots and four hands open in front of her and was at a loss at where to begin chopping the pots. An uproarious table shouted hand ranks and numbers at her until Zack offered to help; stacking his chips for her and telling who to break the big chips in the middle, breaking down the hand ranks pot by pot.

Only the initial preflop raiser was eliminated this hand and he wandered off before his chips found their rightful owner.
