Eric Ruffman is on a roll and knocked out two players in a row in the following hands:
In the first hand the middle position player raised to 17,000 and Ruffman moved all in from the small blind and received the call. Ruffman had the superior stack.
Middle position: A♦Q♣
Eric Ruffman: K♠K♣
The board was J♥J♦4♥9♥10♦ and Ruffman's kings dodged the ace to find two pair for the win and the elimination.
In the second hand Ruffman was wishing this was a bounty tournament when an early position player raised all in preflop to 49,000 and Ruffman made the call and casually turned over queens for his second big pocket pair in a matter of minutes.
Early position: A♥J♦
Eric Ruffman: Q♥Q♦
This board ran out with K♠9♠J♥9♦5♦ and Ruffman managed to dodge the ace again and add to his chip stack with another two pair.
Chaechon Yim was in the small blind when Tony Lam raised from under the gun to 20,000. Yim saw this as his opportunity to pick a hand and go for it so he three-bet all in for 37,000. Lam made the call.
Chaechon Yim: K♣J♠
Tony Lam: A♣10♥
After the flop of A♠6♣10♣, Yim began calling for a queen and the dealer obliged with a Q♥ on the turn and a 5♥ on the river which gave Yim a much needed double up and a save from being eliminated.
Ken Deng was seen dragging in a sizable pot after having doubled up on a board that read 9♦6♦5♦J♥8♥. With cards still face up at showdown, Deng tabled A♦10♦ while his opponent had 6♥6♣.
Deng explained to PokerNews that a majority of the money went in on the turn. He mentioned that his opponent bet 55,000, he raised to 120,000, his opponent then went all in, and he made the call.
The remaining 486 players are now on a 60-minute dinner break and will return at 6:45 p.m. local time. Play will resume with blinds at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante.
