The action continues today at the 2024 World Series of Poker in the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Starting at 12 p.m. local time is Day 3 of a star studded field in Event #52: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed.

After registration closed, 817 entries rounded out the field. This generated a prize pool of $3,762,800 and the remaining 37 players have locked up at least $16,257 for their efforts. Sitting atop the prize pool is $656,747 for the eventual winner, plus the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.

Turbo Nguyen of the United States currently tops the counts with 2,700,000 in chips. Close behind is Lucas Blanco with 2,645,000 as both players sit within a comfortable distance above the third place stack.

One of the most successful players from this year's series is the United State’s own David Coleman with 1,045,000 chips. The field remains filled with highly decorated pro players such as Georgios Sotiropoulos (2,190,000), Jake Schwartz (1,690,000), and Dong Chen (660,000).

Day 3 will begin with blinds of 10,000/25,000 and a big blind ante of 25,000. It will take place in the Horseshoe Event Center with the goal for the day being to play until only five players remain.

Daly Almost Quadruples Stack in First Hand

In the first hand dealt, Jason Daly put his 60,000 chips into the middle from under the gun and Brandon Schwartz shoved all in for 600,000 from the cutoff.

Daly flopped a pair, fell behind on the turn, but rivered two pair to stay alive and almost quadruple his stack on the 976K10 runout.

Action folded to Turbo Nguyen in the small blind who three bet to 150,000.

The big blind folded and Drobin took little time to muck his cards.

Nguyen shared that he had AxKx and Drobin revealed that his hand was KxQx.

Deng Gets Value

Action was caught on the river with a board reading 7KAJ5. From the small blind, Clemen Deng bet 250,000 into a pot of about 305,000.

Erfan Geula was in the big blind and had to think it over for a while before he called.

Deng tabled the AQ for top pair and Geula mucked.

Broom Swept Away by Coleman

Action was caught after the board completed 10J56A and David Coleman was quick to check from the big blind.

James Broom also checked from middle position.

Coleman was hoping to induce a bet from Broom as he revealed A6 for two pair.

Daly's Comeback Hopes Cut Short by Munteanu

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jason Daly had an action-packed start to the day but it all came to an end just as he started to get a glimmer of hope.

Daly had already doubled up once and shoved all in with Q8 and got called Tyler Cornell's JJ. A runout of Q44610 saw Daly hit top pair and double up.

The very next hand, Bogdan Munteanu shoved all in from the small blind, and Daly snapped from the big blind.

The board ran out 779109 which gave Munteanu a full house, and ended Daly's run.
