In what appeared to be a three-bet pot, Sam Soverel bet 20,000 on a 10♦7♦5♦ flop and Faraz Jaka raised to 55,000 on the. button. Soverel called.

The dealer brought the K♠ on the turn and Soverel checked to Jaka, who continued for 105,000. Soverel studied Jaka for a bit before letting his hand go. With that pot, Jaka has climbed nearly back to even with Soverel.

Across the table, Owen Messere has increased his chip lead over Kane Kalas.

The flop came 9♦6♦J♠ and Miller check-called a bet of 16,000. On the 6♥ turn, Miller checked again and Grujic sized up with a bet of 75,000. Miller called.

The river brought the K♦ and Miller check-called once more, this time for 175,000. Grujic revealed 6♣7♦ and his trips allowed him to take down the pot and gain momentum in the match.

Needing to improve to stay alive, the flop ran off6♥A♥8♦. Although Jaka hit his Ace, he would still need help, and after the 4♣ on the turn, he was down to just three outs. However, Jaka's heads-up tournament would not come to an end just yet, as the Q♠ rolled off on the river, to give Jaka top two pair, and the double-up.

Messere check-called a 16,500 bet from Kalas on the J♦3♠10♠ flop and then both players checked on the A♣ turn.

The 2♥ completed the board and Messere checked once more. Kalas cut out a bet of 117,000 and placed it into the middle, which got a quick fold from Messere to award Kalas the pot.

Meanwhile, Sam Soverel has chipped Faraz Jaka down to under 200,000 across the table.

Despite taking the lead moments ago, Cary Katz was one again trailing Artur Martirosian

In a match reminiscent of Rocky IV's Apollo Creed vs Ivan Drago, the Russian delivered a killer blow to Katz's bracelet pursuit.

In a three-bet pot to the 2♠10♦4♠ flop, Katz bet 67,000 from the big blind and called off the 300,000 more he had behind when Martirosian jammed.

Artur Martirosian: 8♠7♠

The turn was the 5♥ keeping Katz ahead, but the 10♠ river completed Martirosian's flush draw to book his place in the Quarter Finals.

Martirosian will face Patrick Kennedy in the next round.

Mizumoto quickly called and Smith turned over Q♦6♦ for a flush. Mizumoto showed he held A♣8♥ for aces-up and Smith was sent the much-needed pot.

The turn brought the 6♣, and Mizumoto lead out for 100,000. Smith very quickly called to head to a river.

The river was the K♥, and Mizumoto fired once more, this time declaring all-in for his remaining 333,500. Smith said, "Well I call", and Mizumoto tabled K♦K♠ for top set. Smith tabled K♣10♣ for top two pair, to show the cooler he just suffered. Mizumoto scooped the 999,000-chip pot, and took the commanding lead in this heads-up match.
