Leibgorin Leads After Huge Double-Up

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante
Michel Leibgorin
Michel Leibgorin

Michel Leibgorin raised to 75,000 on the button and Antonio Seremet jammed all in from the small bind, covering Leibgorin's 1,450,000 chips.

The Frenchman quickly called and stood pat after Seremet had done so first. He then showed 8x7x4x3x2x at showdown, and Leibgorin flashed a ten-low as his cards flew into the muck.

The pot of nearly 100 big blinds was shipped to Leibgorin, while former chipleader Seremet was still left with more than an average stack.

Ahmed Puts Baker in Tough Spot

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

Owais Ahmed opened to 60,000 on the button and David "ODB" Baker called in the big blind.

Baker took one while Ahmed chose to stand pat after which Baker led out for 80,000. Ahmed responded by moving all in for 460,000. That did not sit well with Baker, who went deep into the tank, leaning back in his chair and removing and replacing his glasses several times. Eventually, he chose to let his hand go to send a decently sized pot over to Ahmed.

Leibgorin Wheelin'

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

Patrick Leonard raised to 60,000 on the button and Michel Leibgorin three-bet to 175,000 from the small blind. In the big blind, Antonio Seremet cold-called while Leonard folded.

Both players drew one card. Leibgorin led for 275,000 and Seremet quickly folded after he missed a premium draw. The same cannot be said for Leibgorin, who revealed 7x5x4x3x2x for a wheel as he dragged the pot.

Alex Epstein Eliminated in 11th Place ($8,125)

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante
Alex Epstein
Alex Epstein

Alex Epstein raised to 65,000 in the cutoff, being called by Patrick Leonard on the button and Michel Leibgorin in the small blind.

Table chipleader Antonio Seremet then jammed all in and Epstein snap called his stack of just under 1,000,000 chips off. Leonard and Leibgorin got out of the way, after which Seremet stood pat.

"Good luck, me," Epstein stated as he tossed one card.

Alex Epstein: 7x6x4x2x All in
Antonio Seremet: 10x9x6x5x3x

"It's a no-sider," Epstein lamented as he sweated his card. That meant that he could only hit a three to survive, but it was an Ax instead and he took his exit in 11th place.

Christopher Roman Eliminated in 12th Place ($6,408)

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante
Christopher Roman
Christopher Roman

Christopher Roman moved all in for 350,000 from the cutoff and David "ODB" Baker called on the button while all subsequent action folded.

Both players drew one card, with Roman having a smooth jack draw while Baker was drawing to a wheel with 7x5x3x2x.

Baker hit a 10x which left Roman drawing dead as he ended up making jack-eight.

Of Course Leonard Lied, It's Poker

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante
Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

In a modest pot of around 150,000 chips, Tzu Peng Wang had checked from the big blind after the draws. His opponent was Patrick Leonard, who made a huge over-bet of 385,000.

Wang went deep into the tank, eventually asking Leonard how much he had behind.

"You're not raising anyway," Leonard responded as he showed off the 130,000 or so chips he had back.

After some more time Wang asked Leonard if he had a wheel, to which Leonard shook his head.

"Will you show me a bluff if I fold?" Wang then aksed, to which Leonard once again responded with a headshake.

That seemed to ease Wang's mind as he folded, but Leonard immediately tabled Jx7x7x5x3x for a pair of sevens as Wang's cards hit the muck.

Tucker Puts Pressure on Funkhouser

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

David Funkhouser opened to 50,000 from middle position only to see Charles Tucker three-bet to 175,000 out of the big blind. That sent Funkhouser into the tank as he considered his options. After asking to see how much Tucker had behind, Funkhouser decided to lay down his hand and avoid a potentially large confrontation.

Seremet Puts Pressure

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 35,000 ante

Ali Eslami raised to 60,000 under the gun and Alex Epstein called in the hijack. Table chip leader Antonio Seremet then jammed all in from the big blind.

Eslami and Epstein folded in quick succession, and Seremet's stack grew even further.
