The 8♥ river peeled off and action went check-check. Checkwicz dragged in the pot with his cowboys.

The 9♦K♣A♣ flop checked through to the 7♥ on the turn. Checkwicz felt obliged to turn his five-high into a bluff, leading for 390,000. Nathan put in a raise to 1,000,000 and Checkwicz snap-folded.

Vela took the lead for 200,000 on the K♣9♦4♥, with a few back door draws working for him. Nathan called with his gutshot straight draw.
The 7♥ turn and Q♥ river checked to a showdown. Nathen's rivered queen won him this pot.
Kevin Nathan squeezed A♣Q♦ and it was good enough for an open to 325,000 from the cutoff. Mark Checkwicz called from the big blind with 8♣6♥.
Nathan fired 400,000 on a J♣9♣6♠ flop and Checkwicz called.
Nathan sized-up to 750,000 on the J♠ turn and Checkwicz called once more.
Action went check-check on the 4♥ river and Checkwicz held on with his pair of sixes to scoop the pot.
Samuel Wagner raised 250,000 from the cutoff holding 7♥7♦. Michael Vela, in the small blind, three-bet to 700,000 holding A♥K♠.
Wagner chose to four-bet jam for his remaining 3,870,000 and Vela went deep into the tank.
Vela thought for several minutes before saying to the table "My gut says fold so I'm going to fold". He pitched his cards to the muck, avoiding the biggest flip of the tournament so far.
