After 10 hour-long levels of play, a Day 2 field of 126 players has been whittled down to just 10. Minnesota native Clint Wolcyn leads the pack in Event #7: $1,500 Dealer's Choice with 2,770,000 chips. Brayden Gazlay is in second with 2,370,000, while Robert Wells rounds out the podium with 1,960,000. Wolcyn had a number of friends on the rail to support and will certainly bring action and energy to Day 3 tomorrow.

Six-time bracelet winners John Hennigan and Shaun Deeb also advance to Day 3, along with online poker legend Viktor Blom.

The 10 returning players will be battling for the gold bracelet along with a first-place prize of $138,296. This year's Dealer's Choice event had a record turnout of 530 players.

The Day's Action

The Day 2 starting field of 126 dwindled quickly, and the players were approaching the money bubble before the first break of the day. Many accomplished mixed game pros hit the rail early including Maxx Coleman, Brian Rast, and Daniel Weinman.

Eventually, it was Max Hoffman who earned the unfortunate title of bubble boy after losing the last of his chips in a hand of seven card stud. As a result, Joshua Heinzl made the money with a single 500 chip.

Benny Glaser, who started the day third in chips, lost a large pot with a straight versus a rivered flush in pot-limit hold'em shortly before the three-table redraw.

More mixed game legends fell in the final 18, including Allan Le, Jeff Madsen, and Roland Israelashvili, who was celebrating a record-extending 500th career WSOP cash.

The remaining 10 players return at 1:00 p.m. on June 1 to the Horseshoe Event Center for Level 26. Play will continue until a champion is crowned.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as our live reporting team brings you all the action tomorrow and throughout the entire World Series of Poker.
