Brown Triples With Ace on the River
Level 19
: Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
The hijack opened to 30,000 and Brandon Brown three-bet jammed a stack of 180,000 on the button. The small blind called and the hijack also called.
Both players checked on the 9♥Q♥K♠ flop and the same action took place on the 5♥ turn. Both players checked once more on the A♣ river.
The small blind showed 8♥8♠ to be in front of the 6♠6♣ of the hijack, but neither player could beat out the A♠2♠ of Brown as he secured a triple.
