Baker Rivers a Boat

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

David "Bakes" Baker was heads-up from middle position against the player in the big blind. Baker had a bet in front of him and his opponent check-raised to 7,500. Baker called.

Baker called a 10,000 barrel from his opponent on the K turn and then the big blind checked after the 2 completed the board.

Baker fired 28,000 into the middle, which put his opponent deep into the tank. He eventually put in a call and Baker showed A2 for deuces-full of aces. His opponent mucked after saying, "That's what I was afraid of," and Baker collected the nice pot.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Christian Roberts raised to 2,500 in middle position and Artur Martirosian called in the hijack. Peter Nigh then three-bet to 12,000 on the button and only Roberts called.

Both players checked the JQ8 flop and Roberts led out for 9,000 on the 4 turn. Nigh called.

The K river was again checked through and Nigh turned over AK for a rivered pair. Roberts mucked two tens as Nigh took down the pot.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three-ways to a flop of 6J4, the action checked to Ben Miller in middle position, who made a bet of 3,000. John Canavan folded from the big blind before David Miscikowski called in early position.

Miscikowski then check-called Miller's bet of 8,500 on the 8 turn before both checked the 2 river.

Miscikowski showed J10 for top pair and took down the pot as Miller's cards hit the muck.

Diogo Veiga
Diogo Veiga

Diogo Veiga has been steadily building a large stack and just knocked out Senad Cecunjanin to climb above half a million in chips. The latest boost was only for around 20,000 when Cecunjanin got it in with the KQ and Veiga had that dominated with the AK.

Both players hit top pair on the KJ8710 board and that spelled the end for Cecunjanin.
